Product Features

This Jackson X Series Rhoads RRXMG electric guitar is loaded with purebred Jackson DNA-neck-through body construction, hot, humbucking pickups, a bound compound-radius fingerboard with distinctive shark-fin inlays, and a stunning finish.

A classic Jackson model imbued with the X factor, fantastic tone, ultra-fast playability and unbelievable value for 21st century guitarists, the Jackson Rhoads RRXMG features a basswood body, through-body maple neck. Its active EMG 85 (neck) and 81 (bridge) humbucking pickups deliver well-balanced tone with tight bass, glassy mids and crunching highs. Its bound compound-radius rosewood fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out.

Other features include Floyd Rose Special double-locking two-point tremolo, 24 jumbo frets and three-way pickup switching. Case sold separately.

Mine actually plays pretty well and the only real issues I have are the neck was a little thicker than I expected, and the fret board finish rubs off on your fingers causing them to turn black. I had also purchased a King V that is in the same X series line and its seems and feels better made. Its neck was thinner and the fret board does not cause your finger to turn black. Overall it is not a bad pickup if you get it on sale, but I would not pay full price for it.

Plays smooth and fast looks great

.This guitar is a blast to play. The finish is nice and the fretwork was perfect.

The only issue I had was with the tremolo not holding tune when I did extreme pulls and dives. (Not uncommon with this particular model Floyd Rose.) After installing a stop, extra spring, and restringing, it now stays in tune now matter how far I dive bomb.

I also have a US made Jackson RR1, and this guitar compliments it nicely.

It's a blast to play - you just have to be careful with that point sticking out in the back! ;)

.Jamming and learning. Planing on putting a band together.
