Been playing for 18 years, I own a 2008 DK2m, Charvel So-Cal, Ibanez RG550, plus a few others, great guitars, but this one is better. The fit and finish on these is really impressive. The workman ship is better on this Mexican one then on my Japanese DK2m. The components used are better too. Better neck pickup, better Floyd (there are no problems with this Floyd btw), better over all design, better neck, better 5 way switching options, great all around feel.

I can see some not liking the pickups, though they are great pickups for just about every type of music, which is why I like them. There are better pickups if you are into extreme metal, but there are other guitars for that too. This is great guitar for Rock, Jazz, Blues, pretty much what ever you want to do.
Mine came perfectly set up and in tune.
Very, very, impressed with this guitar!

.For the longest time, this website had the wrong picture posted. It had the picture of a white Dinky with shark teeth inlays and HSS config.

I ordered mine the first of the year thinking it would have the config mentioned above shipped in a hardcase made in Japan model. I have the "now discontinued" model in the eerie dess swirl finish which I was expecting. What I got is a Mexican made model with 2 Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and rosewood fretboard with small white dot inlays shipped in a well secured cardboard box in a box with more thick sheets of paper for extra protection. I was disappointed. But after I plugged it in my pedalboard and Fender Hot Rod Deville amp, my disappointments vanished. Although not being a made in Japan, the build quality is topnotch and the SDs are good enough for me. The setup and intonation is dead on and the neck is perfect for me.

I called MF about the hardcase and was told this particular model doesn't come with a hardcase but I reiterated it was mentioned on the details. They don't have the Jackson branded case but I did get a Gator brand hardcase which is comparable to my Jackson or Strat ones quality wise. I am glad MF stood behind their product and they focused on a quality product and transaction that is truely based on their customer's satisfaction. Kudos to Custom Guitar's Friend for making everything right. I was confident and ordered a new Fender American Standard in Candy Apple Red.

.Dear MF,

The picture of the white DK2 posted on yoru website is wrong. I ordered one last year thinking it has the HSS configuration but what I got was a HH with no sharktooth fretboard inlays. Neverthelessm it is still a nice Jackson.

This is not a review and its more of a heads up. I am trying to save time for other ptential buyers of this guitar. Kindly remove my comment when the correct picture is in place.

Thanks

.Awesome guitar but its two flaws is it's JT580 licensed floyd rose tremolo and Seymour Duncan pick ups(if you like Duncan's your good) instead of EMG pick ups. I've installed an LP R3 official floyd rose on mine and thank goodness mine came with EMG's. this guitar isn't worth 500+ lmao. If it'd have an original floyd rose and EMG it'd be worth 500-650$. want a guitar with a floating bridge? Buy one with an original floyd rose, trust.
