Received the guitar today and I was pleasantly surprise to see the quality of workmanship. This is my very first ESP guitar. The finish is great, the binding is great, there are no noticeable defects at all. Made in Indonesia and set up in USA, it really is a great guitar if you want a LP style guitar for a really nice price. I got this on a SDOTD sale and I really couldn't be happier. Seems more non-USA made factory guitars are coming out nicer than USA made ones.

I was really pleasantly surprised in the Dimarzio Pickups. They have some good tone and good power right out of the box. I don't think I would be using this guitar for metal, but for rock/blues/hard rock it's perfect. I've bought and used the Tone Zone, Air Norton, PAF JOE, and HS3 from Dimarzio in the past. I rather prefer Duncans (Duncan Custom, '59, Seth Lover, Super Distortion) or Gibson's '57's but I am starting to like these Dimarzios.

The setup out of the box isn't that bad, however I will be setting up this guitar tomorrow. The neck needs a truss rod adjust (most guitars which have been shipped do) and the pickups are not where I like them, and I can probably get a little more power out of them. Intonation, however, seems to be pretty darn good for shipping in a box. The flamed maple cap matches pretty well too (a lot of times you can get the flames mis-matched in the middle (the seam) and since I'm OCD, it bothers me a bit). The inlays look like abalone. I have found more imperfections in my LP than in this guitar.

Bottom Line: Great guitar on a great price! If buying non-usa made doesn't bother you, pick it up now! 5 stars because you get a lot of BANG for the BUCK!

.MF had a great price on this on Columbus Day. Figured I would order and send back if no good. I didnt send it back!!! Only issue was the E strings hit the rear of the bridge. I restrung over the tailpiece and problem solved . Setup was done in the USA and unlike the the Epiphones where I'm not convinced an American checks the guitar - someone actually set it up!!!! Dimarzios are strong and require height adjustment to get the tone you want. Once set this guitar plays like butter and sounds great. Cant get the strings as low as I want due to buzz but if I had it set up professionally I'm sure it could be even better. Great for blues rock and real classic metal- may not be good for the mumbling growlers and screamos

.These ltd guitars are way above anything else in the price range. These kill Epiphone LP's. Will be buying more of them as time goes on.

.Finish work on mine was an absolute joke. So many flaws and even people who knew nothing about guitars spotted most of them. Pickups were hot and sounded good, but my USA Strat had much better tone when compared side by side. Make no mistake, this is a pretty bad guitar with very nice DiMarzios. Got it on sale at under five hundo, but now I realize that even two hundy would be too much to pay for this thing. Sad. Could have been great.

.This is a great guitar for the money.

.VERY NICE

.should have been set up properly
