For a cheap guitar , this is made very nice. I think its about the best guitar one can buy for the price. Much nicer than other budget models. The Neck actually is a little chunky and not that thin. I like this because it makes the neck more durable and adds to sustain. The guitar is pretty resonant and the hardware is of good quality. I have the sunburst (I think the black looks kind of cheap) The guitar tunes well and the nut is well cut. Nice slab of dark rosewood for the fingerboard. Huge frets that will last a while and make bending a breeze. The pickups seem ok but im changing them out to some alnico 2's . I have many guitars but i just love this cheap little thing.

.Ordered this guitar when it first came out (and was ten dollars cheaper) a few months ago. Arrived pretty well set up. Build quality seems solid, except that the plug was loose. Was happy with the action, had to adjust the intonation a bit. Neck is thicker than I like and the fingerboard is as rough as you'd expect in this price range. Also, the frets could be dressed more nicely -- as it is, they're quite sharp against the strings, and I think I'm going to end up sawing through a lot of D strings before I'm ready to change the set for sake of tone.Where I continue to be impressed by for the price is the quality of the hardware and electronics. The humbuckers are fairly hot and do not pick up a lot of EMF -- I live near a TV tower, so poorly shielded/wound pups (I'm looking at you, Dean) make horrible noise if I don't stand just so.Also very impressed with the two-piece bridge -- very sturdy. Tuners work fairly well, you can lose a bit of tuning if you're doing a lot of extreme string bends. Cheap feeling nut, but have you ever read a review where someone raves about the nut?Native tone is nothing to write home about, neither good nor bad. This is not an instrument that will give you a distinctive tone or a ton of sustain on its own, but it's pretty playable and, for it's price, produces a good signal to put into your effects chain. All in all, the best value I've seen for a new guitar in this price range (which is good, as I bought it sight unseen). Good enough that I may look at ESP again if I'm looking to upgrade down the road.

.I've had this guitar for a little while now and I've gotta say, its a great guitar! The thing that really got me was the price for an ESP LTD, which usually don't run this cheapThis guitar is the guitar that I've pretty much written all of my original music on, which is good for the rock and metal I do. It's a great guitar for anything from Lamb of God to Rush to Three Days Grace. The only thing I don't like about it is that usually when I do any type of bends on any of the strings, the guitar will go very slightly out of tune. But other than that, this is a great guitar! I very STRONGLY urge you, that if you're looking to buy a good cheap guitar, to buy this one.

.Used to be a Les Paul player back in the day, late 70's, early 80's. I picked up a Strat and never touched a Les Paul again due to music style and limitations of LP's. Since then, I own and have owned: Fernandez, Charvel/Jackson, Jackson,ESP's Ibanez and Strats, all modified, all premium quality w/locking tremlo's, some hard tails, neck throughs and bolt-ons. One day I got into Kill Switch Engage and some others that drop tune often and found myself struggling to unlock and tune down, etc.,etc., so I purchased the EC-10 wanting something new and different to see if I would be comfortable with the "LP" single cut away design/style again...Point of the story: I am truly amazed at the quality, design/build, parts, hardware and electronics. Doesn't hold up on stage to well sweating all over it, but I still use it as a back-up and for writing, jamming and practicing. I play the hell out of it and other than tuning it more often, you cannot beat this guitar for the price.

.I have had this guitar for about a week now and have played it about 2 hours per day. I got the two tone sunburst. I am very pleased so far. For the money it was more than I expected. The guitar is made in Viet Nam but the quality is very good. If it was made in the USA it would easily sell for 3 times as much. It's not a Gibson but I would not be ashamed to play to a large audience with this instrument. One problem. It falls out of tune rather easy but I attribute this to the manufacturer not correctly bending the string after putting through the machine head. I am going to restring it correctly and am pretty sure it will fix this issue. If not I will get some better machine heads. The guitar is worth it even if I did have to buy new machine heads. I consider my purchase of this guitar to be money well spent. I'm happy.

.This was my 1st esp ltd ec-10 in tobacco burst finish. Really nice fit and finish, makes a les paul 100 poor on finish, nice neck, smooth frets, nice paint job. Really impressed with the build quality for a made in china guitar. Its as heavy as a lp around 8lbs. Tuners stay in tune and electronics are ok. The pickups are decent for beginner but if u want a good sound replace them for sure. After a week i put p-94 pickups in bridge and neck and this guitar growls. So impressed with the esp i bought a ec-50 used 2 weeks later. Nicest cheap beginner guitar there is, dont buy a epi les paul there trash compared to this.

great quality, action was great out of box, sturdy metal knobs. pickups are decent but will be replaced with higher output pickups shortly. stays in tune fairly well, output jack had to be tightened a few times. the gloss on the neck is undesirable and the neck is not as thin as a wizard neck. it plays well, sounds decent, feels sturdy enough for playing live. would i use it as a main for a serious musician no, but for someone looking for a well made guitar on a budget i say YES.
