You want to have the sound of a Pro, you want the look of a pro but don't want to pay like a pro...buy this guitar!
Amazing how this guitar does'nt sell for more. Play a $3000 LP, a PRS Santana and then play this guitar. I puchased the amber sunurst for the Seymour Duncans. Decades of proven punch and solid tones from these pickups and I was not dissappointed. The weight and balance is perfect, can play for hours. The locking tuners...sweet.
Out of the box, I tuned and innotated, perfect. The fit and finish of this guitar is impressive. The binding and fret inlays are immaculate, I have yet to find a flaw in any aspect on this piece of workmanship. I saw a PRS with intricate ablone bird and scroll inalays in the fretwork selling for $30,000 at a guitar show last year and you could'nt touch it (in a glass case) and this piece looks better.
Go to your local center, play the best they have to offer then play this one. Let your ears and hands decide what you buy and how much you pay. 8 out of 10 will buy this guitar.

.A good guitar tech can make this guitar outstanding. I own 2, one EMG and the other Duncans. The duncan model I have the frets were alittle more jagged than the other. The inlay on the EMG one has pieces missing which doesn't affect the playability though and its almost impossible to see. You get what you pay for, everything won't be perfect but for the price you may as well call it perfect! I've had both of my guitars for over 5 years now and had no major problems with them. I usually play around 1-2 shows a week and practice just about every day. I've used the duncan model the most and it has slight fret wear and needs to be dressed and leveled to stop buzzing in some areas. The other needs some leveling just because some of the frets lifted slightly due to all the traveling and climate changing. The problems with the guitars are so minimal I don't want to take them to get repaired yet. The guitar I play the most I installed a Graphite bridge as the strings would break off of the sharp saddles from high usage. After installing the graphite bridge I have yet to break a string on the guitar in 2 years, I do change my strings around twice a month or more. I want a Gibson Les Paul so bad but after playing these guitars for so long I cannot justify spending the money on it when I like the LTD better! I cannot find a les paul I like more even the Custom! That is after reworking the guitar alittle. Both guitars were made in Korea and are equiped with Sperzel Locking tuners unlike the new models. The Duncan equiped model body is actually 1/8" thicker than the body on the one equiped with EMG's. I will never get rid of these guitars and can't wait for them to age! The finish is so good it is so hard to wear off! All I can say is maybe look REAL close at the guitar you want to buy and reject it for another with less little flaws, thats about the only differance I would have made.
You get all the looks of an expensive Les Paul Custom for 1/4 the price.
The reason for the 8 quality is I am comparing this to a 4,000$ Les paul, I'd say that is outstanding.

.I give it a 6/10 for all the trouble, but a 10/10 for the sound. If your lucky and live near a music store with one in stock, highly recommend getting your hands on one and making sure its okay.
The features are AWESOME on the amber sunburst model. I'm not a fan of EMG's so I went with the one with seymour duncan JB's and trust me, those things sound SO crisp and clear. I love how it sounds.
The quality however, is terrible. First one i got had uneven frets and half the notes would play out of tune no matter how perfectly in tune the guitar was. I sent it back since that shouldn't happen on a brand new guitar and they sent the next one and, well...it was a bass. This wasn't musicians friends fault, it was ESP's. After sending that back and getting my third model, everything was fantastic...except one of the volume pots is busted and you cant turn the knob all the way or else the sound completely cuts out. So I'm gonna have to send this one back as well and hopefully we can get a working one soon. I love the sound, but 3 mistakes in a row shouldn't happen, ever.
Great guitar for it's price, however...like i said i went through 3 faulties so far, possibly more down the road.

.After taking a break from electric for a few years, I decided to grab one of these and start rocking again. I was torn between this ESP and a Gibson Les Paul. Luckily a buddy of mine had both, so I would get hands on before buying. I wanted to like the Gibson more, and tried to talk myself into it, but in the end the quality and feel of the ESP won me over. The weight of the ESP and the feel of the neck are great. I would still like to get a Gibson, but since I have the ESP I am in no rush. The only complaints about the ESP are that the volume and tone knob were not true, and I had to give them some nudging. Also the neck pickup needed some adjusting. I have a Fender Deluxe "Smokey Tweed" tube amp on order, and I cannot wait to plug this ax in to that!

.2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio Alpine White w/gold hardware = Muddy Sound, sticky nitro finish, very poor tuning stability, mine had bad setup, overpriced, Alternative wood products used among other issues.

LTD EC1000 Vintage Black = None of the above plus Tone pros bridge and tail also has locking tuners.

When I play my EC1000, a Gibson Les Paul was my dream guitar. Perhaps a standard or custom is better, I pray they are, but for you that are looking at both of these, go with the EC1000 please!!! I believe the price tags on these two guitars should be switched. 20 years experience here and very picky on quality!

.I LOVE THIS GUITAR! I have had it for 2 years now and i could not be happier. I play it through a Line 6 Spider III 75-watt and it sounds killer. Even with the less-than-pro effects of that amp, the versatility of the guitar shines through. The bass is full but not muddy and the high end cuts through without being too harsh. It can go from heavy shredding to mellow blues to twangy country without missing a beat. It doesn't quite have the fullest tone, but it's really pretty good for a solid body. i could not recommend this guitar more

This guitar can do just about anything. I have had it for about a year now and I am in love with it. Great guitar for its value!

.Ive had this guitar for 4 years. It sounds as good now as it did the first day i got her. It has incredible pickups, the neck is extremely playable, and the guitar is very versatile. The EMGs roar under high gain, and are warm during cleans. Ive owned some LPs and other more expensive guitars, but i would not trade this for any of them. Im planing on getting the amber sunburst with the Seymour Duncans , and the black see through with Floyd rose soon. If you have any inclination for getting this guitar you should go pick one up right now. Their is no other guitar that has this much quality and is in this price range. It is a higher caliber then even higher priced guitars.

.I've had this guitar for almost two years now, and its never let me down. I keep mine tuned down to C, and its always in tune. Its great to look at, and alot of fun to play. Metal/Hardcore musicians should look no furthur than the ESP/LTD EC-1000 deluxe.
ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar See-Thru Black Cherry
.Wow!!! Great playing guitar. Great action, very low fret buzz, great pick ups. I think this is the best value that is out there right now.
