Product Features

The Line 6 DT50 112 Guitar Combo Amp is the most compact of the DT50 series with an amplification system that is able to configure and adapt its analog components and digital modeling in real time.

This means that when you select a model, the DT50 112 Amp instantly reconfigures the tube power section to provide the optimal tone. The digital section monitors the tube power section and can adjust the DSP in real-time.

At high volumes, the tubes provide more distortion. At low volumes, the modeling delivers more of the coloration. The digital section now "talks" to the analog section, and vice versa.

Matched with a custom Celestion speaker, the DT50 112 gives you great tone and authentic feel at all volumes all the time.

Ignore the reviews where I guy goes into a store, plugs in a Squier Strat, noodles some tired rock licks for 2 minutes and then gives a negative review. You have to spend time with this baby in a good environment to hear is properly. I never liked Line 6 amps before, had a Vetta and couldn't bond with it, but this is a "real" tube amp with all a tube amp's mojo.
This amp is the final piece of the most versatile rig I've ever had. I've got a PodHD500, JTV-69, and now the DT50. I'm a regular gigging player in a cover band, and also a blues band. Being able to hit one button and change guitar, amp, and effects at once is amazing! No more pedal dancing. But if it didn't sound this good, it wouldn't matter. The thing sounds like the tube amps it's emulating- Fenders bloom, Marshalls crunch and the metal models sound huge.

This is meant to be a standalone 2 channel amp that can be configured like the most popular designs of all time, and does a great job of it. If you want more amp models and effects, then hook it up to a Pod HD with the Line 6 Link, and the Pod becomes the preamp.

BTW, this 50watt amp is louder than my Marshall JVM410C 100 watt amp.
The thing is heavy, and seems well built, I've had no problems with it. The Tolex is thin and tears easily so you have to be careful unless you want to relic it soon.
It is a bit pricey, but when you figure that you get 4 different amps in one, and it compares favorably to some boutique amps going for twice as much, I think it's a very good value. I've got some vintage amps up for sale because I won't be needing them anymore.

.I own this amp and use it once a week for thee hours at a country gig. I really like the versatilty and my Les Paul, my Strats and my Teles all sound great through it. I also own the DT25 and the tones are virtually the same.
For a tube amp, this has ample (no pun intended) features. The ability to switch between the four amp styles is a really nice feature, although i tend to stick with the Fender clean sound and the Vox sound at my country gig. It would be great if it had spring reverb and tremolo, but the reverb on board is good, and no "boing" sounds if you accidentally bump the amp (like a spring verb will do).
How can I judge this? It sounds good .. it works every time I turn it on ... it feels pretty sturdy. So, I'll judge sound quality. I own two Fender twins (a 2x12 and a Custom 15). This amp is very Fendery on the clean settings. I know it is not an exact match of my twins, but when I use it on clean, it's very Fendery and I don't think anything is lacking. The Vox sounds are great on the telecaster getting some growl for a Brad Paisley sound. With regard to tone, quality is A+.
It's not cheap, but have you priced a Deluxe Reverb or Fender Twin? Both are one-dimensional amps and in this price range. I like the versatility for the money.

.If you have not played through this thing yet, you need to. This amp is simply amazing. Pricey, but amazing. It is a mix of 4 of the greatest amps rolled into one. Fender, Marshall, Vox, and Mesa. Also, it is a TUBE AMP with voicing technology. It's like having the best of both worlds. when you pair it with the Pod HD500, it sings beautifully. It is totally worth the money.

.I thought this was going to be a great amp however I forgot this is Line 6 quality. Received the amp completely inoperable and unable to function. No damage to the box either.

.First off this is a real tube amp with all its tube goodness. Tubes in the Pre and a tube power amp section. Ive seen some reviews knocking build quality out of the box. Guys shipping companies arent nearly as careful as you guys are with your babies. Reseat your tubes and voila.
That said this thing is amazing. The sound quality out of the head rivals your mesa bogner marshall variety. I have three tube amps that are getting sold. As others have said this is 50 watts but a very loud 50 watts. There is some L6 voodoo under the hood that makes the amp sound great in a low volume mode (wish my other amps did this). The direct out actually sounds good to the board for live use and recording.
Obviously the best part of this amp is with the pod hd. they do amazing things together. Great sound quality and great features. Loaded with vintage 30 celestions everything about this is boutique sound. Only one complaint is a high noise floor on some of the voicings. This is a problem with all tube amps to different degrees. But all this other super science seems we could reduce that.
