Product Features

By themselves, or in conjunction with the M20d mixer, Line 6's StageSource L3t powered speaker system offers great sound with the built-in intelligence to make your live gigs that much more exciting.

With 1400 watts of tri-amped power and multi-band feedback suppression built in, these compact, lightweight speakers interconnect using the L6 LINK protocol to easily scale from using a single speaker with the built-in multi-channel mixer with digital effects for intimate acoustic gigs to multiple speaker rigs with an external mixer to fill larger venues. And the Smart Speaker Modes can tell whether you're using it for a floor monitor, pole-mounted, or as part of your backline for acoustic or electric guitars and automatically sets itself appropriately. So it's easily expandable as your live sound needs grow.

Built road-tough, with professional suspension points and pull-backs, the L3t is also great for installations in churches, clubs, auditoriums and conference facilities. And because it's so easily expandable, with other L3t cabinets, the L3m or the L3s subwoofer, your investment in great sound is a sound investment.

1,400Watt,3way, triamped speaker system Smart Speaker Modes for great live sound in any live sound situation Multichannel mixer with 3band EQ, Smart Effects, and acoustic guitar modeling Multiband feedback suppression Onboard accelerometer and polemount sensors Virtual Tiltback projects speaker's output upwards in backline mode L6 LINK digital networking for multispeaker setups Multifunction design for true scalability Dualbraced tourgrade plywood enclosure with M10 suspension points Retractable handles for easy portability

So I wanted to come back and update everyone on this very important information bit that I was NOT aware of before I invested in Line 6 L3s's and L3t's....

There is firmware on these speakers and the only way to update the firmware is to have a StageScape M20d mixer.

Now, it was in my original plan to buy this mixer (which I just did 9-11-14) several months after I bought (2) L3s's and (2) L3t's. So I'm not incredibly hurt by this information. However, you need to know this, if Line 6 does any enhancements to the L3 series speakers you will need the M20d mixer to push the update from. Or if you are having any issues with your L3 series it most likely may need a firmware update.

I'm assuming this goes for the L2 series speakers as well.

Note, I love this system and don't believe there is an easier, better sounding, versatile, system out there.

.I have used these speakers in two settings so far and they have performed splendidly. The first was to announce the players and play the warm-up music at a soccer field and the second was a school dance in a gym. I was surprised how well they did outside as everything sounds great and was plenty loud all the way across the soccer field. The dance in the gym was good but I should have bought the subwoofers that match the set. I had to take the speakers off the speaker stands in order to get better bass. Admittedly, I was probably asking too much from 10" speakers to fill a gym the way my old JBL 18" subs did, but putting them on the floor helped reinforce the bottom end enough so that I will be holding off for now before I drop another grand+ on something I do as a freebie a few times a year. Have yet to try them out with my band, ColonBlow, but the size of the clubs we play are far smaller than a gym so I am sure it will be fine.

.Wow. I mean, what else would you expect from line 6 besides an all around intelligent piece of music equipment? I bought my first l3t a month ago and I haven't unplugged it yet. It works as my personal PA for rehearsing guitar/vocals at home(and will serve as a main during performances), and matched with my apogee duet2 it also works my home stereo. Seriously, the clarity of this thing is so transparent, its like listening through diamonds. Pretty much anything played off of iTunes will sound awesome through the stereo input on the back. I will definitely be buying another one very soon as well as a matching pair of l3s', though the bass on the l3t sounds incredible by itself. A definite must have for any musician\band looking for ease with there sound management. Thumbs up line 6!!!

.OK, the first L3T I got had hardware malfunction issues so I exchanged it for another one. The new one works great! The sound quality is excellent. So far, I've hooked my Line 6 Pod HD300 to it as well as acoustic/electric guitars. Both sound GREAT! I was really able to tweak my patches on my HD300 much better now. Before I would use my headphones for building patches and those didn't translate too well once I would plug into the PA system at my church. The sound quality is very crisp, clear, and rich sounding. By far the best PA speaker I have ever used. I only gave it 4 stars because the first one I got had issues which makes me wonder about quality control at Line 6. Sound quality wise, I would say 5 stars. Custom GuitarsFriend was Great with the exchange also!

.Seemed like a great idea. In retrospect, you need a mixer with this speaker. So, you're better off with a less complicated and better projecting speaker like the QSC that doesn't have proprietary accessories. We sold it and bought K12 replacement. Line 6 speaker is weak when it comes to distance. And I mean noticeably in a small place.

.I use the items l3t and l3s (sub) together with my roland td30 electric drums the purchase is for my live stage sound, I play small venues 100 to 500 people, I love the head room for volume I get from the l3t it can get loud, clear and really covers all the frq. in the mid to higher drum ranges, no distortion. the l3s (sub) has a tighter punchy sound and sounds great as a pair, the sub only has a frq. cut off and volume and if you run your bass drum hotter its hard to get the sub to throw very far since volume for the sub needs to be louder. still working on a sub. setup yet with this purchase only used once, but I love my purchase.

.Just un-boxed a brand new L3T only to discover low, noisy output with only one speaker functioning. Called Line 6 tech support and verified it has a hardware malfunction. I'm going to exchange it for another one and try it again. I'll update my review when I get the new one. So far I'm really disappointed in Line 6's quality control....or lack thereof. Custom GuitarsFriend has been great with the return policy however.

.Wanted to follow up my previous review on these, specifically about the packaging. Packaging was incredible! Each speaker is packaged in 2 seperate cardboard boxes. The inner box is what you would find if you picked them up in a store. Styrofoam was incredibly heavy duty. The outter box is industrial strength cardboard. I was very impressed and had no concerns about this L3T speaker working correctly when it arrived. Line 6 knows what they are doing. I will be buying more L3T's when funds become available.

.New product from Line 6 as of 2012. First attempt from Line 6 to enter the Pro-Audion FOH world. Not many reviews on this product nor many youtube vid's on this product. Of the youtube vid's I found, they all had only a few hundred 'views'. I was a little leary about buy this product.

I don't believe there is another speaker cabinet out there that is as versatile, compact, can be flown, pole mounted, used as a monitor, has its' own mixer, L6-Link, and as has DSP. Features won me over on this product.

I bought 2 L3T's and 2 L3S's, totaling 5,200watts. I use a Mackie 802-VLZ mixer. These L3T's weigh almost 60lbs, which I don't mind. Keep in mind it has seperate amplifiers for each speaker within the cabinet (I very much like!). Very, very solid wood cabinet. Sound is very good. I don't believe you can go wrong. Love the L6-Link built in software.

Disappointed that Line 6 doesn't make finding the wave guide on these speakers easy. It's buried in their website. Here is a link (I hope it works on this page...).

So I haven't had a chance to test these outside yet as it is winter. Very pleased though so far. I bought these to review to see if they would be a good fit for our churches FOH speakers; specifically the horn dispersion pattern (100 x 50 degrees), compactness, fliablity. I believe these will do nicely.

Just a side note here; I don't know of a 3-way speaker cabinet that you can use to do sound in a gym and expect it to give you the bass response and chest pounding that a seperate bass cabinet provides. If you want low end and want a complete sound spectrum, buy the L3S sub's to compliment the L3T's.

Can't wait to see what the merge of Yamaha and Line 6 produces! I'm ready for Line 6/Yamaha to produce a M20d mixer that has ethernet and line out's on the line inputs. That's about the only two things that are stopping me from buying the Line 6 StageScape M20d. Looks like a great mixer with incredible features, just need more hardware to go with the software Line 6; but I'm keeping my L3T's and L3S's!

My Line 6 StageSource L3T's and L3S's sound great. I don't believe you will be dissappointed.
