From what I've read, this is the only option for a footswitch for the Electar Century, so I picked it up. It does what it says (remember the volume boost knob on the amp needs to be pulled out - activated - for the footpedal to work). So it's not bad on a functional basis.

But it is such a swing and a miss aesthetically. The amp itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a great retro feel. While the pictures of the footswitch seemed to "get it" - i.e., keep it simple, the footswitch itself does not get it. The metal housing is cheap stamped smooth metal, and the worst is the cheap plastic bottom to the pedal. I would have worked to have materials more in keeping with the Art Deco vibe (even a cloth cord insulation), especially at the price tag here.

So it works, and that's the key thing. And the shape and simplicity of the pedal are great from a design perspective. But EE-Epiphone-e had a chance to do something special with the pedal, and missed that chance.

Recommended solely because there's no other option (from what I've read), and it's good to not have to reach behind the amp to engage the boost.
Epiphone Electar Century 12 Amplifier Footpedal
.Just an average 2-channel switch for the EE-Epiphone-e 1939 Century reissue amp (switches between clean and boost channels). Switching is clean with no "pop". Construction is solid -- metal push switch in a black metal housing with a hard plastic base. It's built-in cable is of good length -- maybe 10-15 feet.. It's a downer that this switch did not come with the amplifier that it goes to.
