This guitar is easily my favorite guitar to play. It's light and comfortable, but not as top heavy as my SG.The P-90s really make this guitar stand out. I can get a nice rockabilly twang, but I can also get nice smooth tones for jazz. Also works ok with distortion, though I notice some feedback issues with really high gain.
The guitar was well put together, but I had to replace the jack within the first week. Probably going to swap out the bridge as well.
At the price, this guitar does what 3 different guitars could do for me. As I play several different genres, versatility is very important.

.I really like this guitar. A lot. The P90s sound really nice, and crisp, the guitar has some wight to it which is nice so I don't feel like i'm going to brak it. The vibrato tailpeice goes out of tune somewhat easily on mine, if I just use it to accentuate a note, it's not to bad, but if I'm wailing on it it will go out of tune bad. The guitar is kind of sized like a Les Paul, and the finish is astonishing. The guitar has binding all the way around it, and the back is more of a dark red/brown and is REALLY beautiful. The yellow on top is more dark, and not wuite as pirecing to the eyes. Also, you can really see the grain in the top. The grover tuners are OK. They are not the US made grovers im assuming, but they are pretty quick, and are pretty stable. I use this guitar for Blues ( I use a slide) and Hardcore Punk. I wail and beat this thing, and it keeps coming back for more!! With heavy distortion, the guitar will feed back, but this doesn't bug me. A great buy, and I highly recomend this guitar!! Plus, you get a lot of OOOO's and AAAHHHH's =)

. Love everything about this little guitar except for the fact that the Bigsby tailpiece keeps it constantly out of tune whether or not the tremelo arm is used or not. It renders the guitar useless on stage. Changing strings to a heavier gauge and a professional set-up didn't fix the problem.

.Man I was playing one of these today and this is seriously the best guitar for the money. I was immediately drawn to this guitar when I saw it the antique natural finish is more orange than yellow and looks similar to the orange finish on a Gretsch. This guitar sounds really great too I played it through a fender blues junior and with the dog ear p-90's it was rockin. This is seriously an amazing guitar so if you are in the market for a hollowbody type guitar definitely try this one.

.There are few guitars at any price I enjoy playing as much as my Wildkat. I've been playing guitar for almost twenty years and I play mostly acoustic on a Martin DM. I have played an American Standard Strat since 1991 and had not bought a new electric since then, although I have played a great many. I bought this guitar online having never played it before (something I thought I'd never do but I couldn't find this guitar in any stores). The reviews I read were right - this is a truly great guitar at a very reasonable price for what you get.I had no experience with P90 pickups but I have to say that the sound has me completely addicted. The tone of this guitar is just beautiful - clear and bright but with punchy lows and clear midrange. This guitar can growl and twang with the best of them and is a great strummer, too. Clean (which I play mostly) it sounds beautiful and it holds together nicely when overdriven or given some distortion. I'm a traditionalist in many ways and so the single coil tone to me is heaven. The little bit of hum at low volumes does not bother me in the least. If you like the sound of clean 1950s style Telecasters or even clean Rickenbacker semis, you will enjoy the tone of a Wildkat.I love that unlike most EE-Epiphone-es, this is not a wannabe version of a Gibson guitar - this is its own, stand-alone guitar. I'm amazed that Gibson does not make one and that there are not more guitars like this out there - mahogany solid body that is routed out hollow except for some tone blocks, P90 pickups over hollow space in the body, set neck and with a master volume. Body is an awesome size - similar to Les Paul and smaller than big-box hollow bodies. Just a great design that is super-playable and very attractive to behold (mine is the natural color which is not as yellow as it appears in online pics). I get compliments on the looks every time one of my guitar buddies sees it. Playing the Wildkat you will find it heavier than hollow bodies and other semis based on how it is built. I think the weighty feel is a positive. I have no feedback issues that others have mentioned. Neck is wonderful although I have a tiny bit of buzz when playing unplugged on the higher frets so I may raise the action just a bit. Bigsby is really fun to use, but I don't use it that much. My only complaints are that mine goes out of tune a bit quicker than I like (maybe because of the Bigsby) but after 2+ months of regular playing it is settling down and with a couple tweaks it should be perfect. Intonation could also be just a tad bit more dead-on, but I may be imagining that. I've never modded a guitar before, but my love of the Wildkat's playability and tone may dictate that I tweak the shortcomings by having a bone nut and roller-bridge installed by a professional - this would make the guitar perfect and address the two cost-cutting measures that possibly hold the Wildkat back a little. The rosewood slab over the fingerboard is also not dead-perfect aesthetically and the knobs feel a bit cheap but I don't really care as they don't affect playability and knobs can always be replaced. Complaints by others about the pickups needing to be changed strike me as insane. I think some folks automatically think you have to swap out OEM pickups. I wouldn't touch them - I love the sound of the stock P90s in mine. The Wildkat is totally its own thing. It does not want to be a Gretsch. If you have to have "That Great Gretsch Sound" (and I hear you on this Gretsch people - no disrespect intended) then get a Gretsch. I played the 5120 Electromatic and thought in stock form that it was not as clear sounding at all and it's more money. If you play country, rockabilly, rock and roll, and I would argue funk / R&B or even jazz, this thing is spectacular.

.I rate this instrument a 10 out of 10 because it is a outstanding guitar and is great for any style of music and also great of any part lead or rythm. The only feature of this guitar I really dont like is all od the knobs, they where confusing the fist time I pick the guitar up but once I figured out the one on the cut-away was the "master volume" there was no confusion.
The features are amazing, the dual- action whammy can be a liitle difficult to deal wit wen re-stringing, but it is really easy to adjust to. The pickups have a great tone and are perfect for melody or chords.
The quality of this instrument is marvelous. I do not own one but have used one that belongs to my friend, and there was some buzzing on the D (or 4th) string which would have been fixed by adjusting the bridge. Otherwise the is nothing wrong with this guitar.
Worth every penny, the price on this guitar is Phenomenal compared to its quality and featured.

.Having played with Bigsby trems before, the first thing I did was replace the bridge with a Schaller Roller bridge. My Wildkat stays in tune even with alot of tremolo use. I found that to be the norm for Bigsby fitted guitars. Also the spring tension has to be adjusted by someone familiar with Bigsby trems. I have played Gibsons with the same problem.

With over 50 years of gigging under my on-the-last-notch belt, it's been a long time that a new guitar made me feel like a kid again. But this one is arm candy.. the kind that makes you look and feel your best at whatever you're doing. 'Kat' is one cute blonde with a slender neck you can't keep your hands off and a curvy body that screams out "Come play with me". And does she ever play ! I still can't believe how a guitar of this quality can be such a cheap date, too. 'Kat' has immediately shot to the top of my list of the 19 guitars I currently own ! .Found my Wildkat recently at a local retailer. Very nice guitar. Really liked the Sunrise Orange finish. Overall fit and finish of this guitar is superb for an inexpensive import. While the setup wasn't bad initially, a little tweaking and I got it playing perfectly. I love the shape and size of the neck. Thin depth with a nice width to itI didn't care for the sound of the stock pickups at all. The bridge pickup was fair, but the neck was too dark and muddy sounding. Bought and installed a pair of GFS pickups, and what a difference. Much more bite to the sound now.The other thing that had to go was the stock bridge. Installed a Wilkinson roller bridge that locks to the posts, much like the Tone Pros does. Stays in tune now when I use the Bigsby. Now I am really loving this thing.Bottom line: For the quality of this guitar overall, considering how inexpensive they are, it was totally worth it to spend a few bucks ( about $100) for the upgrades to make it just right for me. Very happy.

.I will say another guy in my band got one through another source that was also reputable and for whatever reason his was not quite as nice as the one I recieved. Not sure why that is.
As many other reviews say the tremolo does effect the the tuning pretty quickly. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be from reviews I had read. The P90's are as noisy as you might expect and it is a semi hollow body so a little volume and distortion get this guy squealing pretty good.
This guy really is crafted well. The weight is not to bad; feels really sturdy. I gave it a good inspection when it arrived and I did have to tighten the pick up covers but no big deal.
For this price this guy is beyond good it is great. I also have a Fender Stratocaster that does not sound nearly as good as this guy.
