EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e introduces the new Les Paul Traditional PRO-II featuring the ultimate combo of Alnico Classic PRO and ProBucker humbuckers with coil-splitting for an incredible range of tones. Plus a 15 dB boost switch along with new color finishes.

EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e and Mr. Les Paul
The idea for the “Les Paul” guitar was born at EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e and Les’ spirit of innovation still inspires us everyday. EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul dates back to 1940 when Les, working after-hours at the original EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e factory in Manhattan, created one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars which he nicknamed “The Log”.

It wasn’t long before “The Log” evolved into the legendary Les Paul. And over the years, Les continued to work closely with EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e reviewing new products and offering suggestions, often doing his own mods at home. The new EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e Les Paul Traditional PRO-II combines the best of Les’ original design with an array of modern features Les himself might have made.

Classic Les Paul Styling…with a Twist
The new Les Paul Traditional PRO-II has the classic build and profile of all Les Pauls with a solid mahogany body and a traditional carved top. New color finishes include Ebony, Desertburst, Ocean Blue, Vintage Sunburst and Wine Red. The solid mahogany neck has a 1960's SlimTaper “D” profile with a 24.75 in. scale and is hand-fitted and glued into the body so the entire guitar resonates as a single piece of wood. A "worn" type finish on the back of the neck and body add to the lived-in feel. The neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, single-ply cream binding, and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays.

Alnico Classic PRO and ProBucker Humbuckers - Plus Coil Splitting and Boost
The Les Paul Traditional PRO-II is powered by EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e’s most popular humbuckers featuring newly tooled, USA-style bobbins. In the neck position is an Alnico Classic PRO with Alnico-II magnets with open zebra coils for a warm, thick, vintage tone. The Alnico Classic PRO is paired with an EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e ProBucker-3 at the bridge. The ProBucker-3 is inspired by Gibson's classic BurstBucker-3 and features unevenly wound coils and Alnico-II magnets that replicate the tone of "Patent Applied For" humbuckers found in priceless vintage, '50s-era Les Pauls.

Controls use classic “Top Hat” Volume and Tone knobs which have push/pull potentiometers allowing you to coil-split each pickup for single-coil sounds. Combined with the 3-way toggle, you can get six unique sounds from one great Les Paul guitar. You can also pull up on the bridge pickup’s tone knob for an additional 15 dB boost. The active Boost control is powered by a 9-volt battery, which is easily accessible at the back of body.

All-Metal Hardware
The Les Paul Traditional PRO-II comes with legendary Grover machine heads with an 18:1 tuning ratio, a traditional cream colored pickguard, solid nickel LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, and EE-EE-Epiphone-e-e StrapLocks. An optional case is also available.

Lifetime
Like all EE-EE-Epiphone-e-es, the Les Paul Traditional PRO-II comes with a Limited Lifetime and is backed by world-famous 24/7/365 Gibson Customer Service.

This is my first Les Paul. The price on this EE-Epiphone-e was perfect for me. My playing is just a hobby. I have a few American telecasters that are really expensive. But enjoy the less expensive Mexican tele and strat just as much. I was a little concerned about a guitar from china. Research on EE-Epiphone-e helped me decide. I could not be more satisfied. Not one flaw. This guitar handles and plays well, neck feels good, Pro pickups sounds very good. It's a just a joy to play. A very solid guitar. To top it all off it's looks fantastic, I got the Ocean Blue Burst.

.Great guitar for the money! Sounds and plays almost as good as an original Les Paul! Normally I would shy away from EE-Epiphone-es but this guitar has changed my whole outlook on them! Couldn't believe how good it was! Sounds amazing and plays extremly well! I'm sold!

.I wanted a good quality guitar that allows switching between humbucker and single coil sound. Ocean blue burst looks exactly like in the picture, no "burst" but nice finish. Feels like a good quality guitar without blemishes or quality issues. Set-up and action is great, no buzz at all. Great sound of humbucker and single coils. I actual ended up playing more on the single coils than humbuckers with a very nice sustain in clean mode. The bridge single coil sound was the sound I was looking for in clean mode or with overdrive. I am not sure if it's heavier than my other guitars it probably is but I did not weigh it. When picking up the first time the neck looks and feels bigger compared to my other guitars but after playing a little while it feels very nice in my palm. I think this is really good value for the money.

.This is actually the third one I bought, and a Condition level 1 that deserved level 2. The Ocean burst was not a burst but just Ocean Blue. It is like a lighter "Caribbean Night" that Gibson offers in its Studio Deluxe. The guitar was very poorly set up and had multiple QC issues. I still need to get a setup done and see what my luthier thinks. I bought a Desert Burst for me that was fine, and a Wine Red that was perfect (gave it as a Xmas gift). This ax was not worth what I paid for it, which was more than the special they offered on new ones the week I got it! Buyer beware, and be ready to ship back - it's what I should have done! But now I will mod it and make it worth my investment, make it my way. It looks decent enough to be worthy of that.

.I saw this on sale in the ocean blue finish and I couldn't get it out of my head. I had only seen guitars that looked this nice for thousands from gibson. I kept mentioning it and my girlfriend was like "just buy it, you know you're going to." So I got it from Custom Guitar's Friend for a great price and it looks even more amazing in person. The blue is so beautiful on the front and the knobs really complement it. The back of it is a navy blue too, not black, which is sort of lost looking at the pictures on a computer screen, but looks really nice in person.

The neck is very satin-like and really smooth and easy to play. I have instruments with a varnished feel and those play fine too, but this makes sliding my hand around really easy. The neck size is good too and feels comfortable in my hands which are very big, but my fingers aren't abnormally long.

My only other guitar is a Gibson Les Paul Junior, and it comes with an automatic tuner, so I was sort of worried about this one and having to tune it a lot based on crappier guitars I've had in the past. But these tuners are really nice and it stays in tune well which make me happy.

Anyway, I'm a drummer so don't have a whole lot more to say about how the guitar works. But I figured getting the split coil would be very different from the single p-90 I already had, and it does make lots of new sounds for me. I can feel myself getting better (not hard-- I'm not very good) just wanting to play it so often.

The only thing is the pickguard is a little weird. I more used to fender guards i guess, but I'm not really sure what this one is protecting against. Maybe I just play weird, but I hit the guitar body by the low E, not the high one. Maybe it'll mess up the finish over time, but meh. I can put a sticker on it or something.

I think if you're looking for this style of guitar you really cannot go wrong with this model. It looks amazing, feels well made, and is easy to play.

.I wasn't in the market but the price was right. In desert burst, this is simply a stunning guitar. That Les Paul tone is there in spades. Quality is beyond anything I could have imagined and that sweet sound makes anything I play sound incredible.

.I just really am enjoying way too much playing with this guitar. Amazing sound, build and design.

.I only had this guitar for one day before I returned it. It pained me to send it back because it sounde awesome and the Ocean Blue was beautiful. I only sent it back because the battery compartment would not open. I unscrewed the compartment and found the problem to be that the hole routered into the would did not allow the slide to move that opens the compartment. I went to Guitar Center and the four guitars they had on the floor had the same problem. I was going to have Custom Guitars Friend replace it but I think it is a design issue, not the guitar I received. I instead bought a blemished EE-Epiphone-e Standard Plus Top Pro for the same price because there was no battery compartment. It also looks and sounds great.

.I bought an open box, MF gave me a coupon also. I saved a lot.

This guitar is very playable. It gives you the Les Paul sound AND the ability to do a lot of tone tweaking with the coil splitting. The booster works nice!

I don't know why you would spend more for a Les Paul.

Rock on.

.I wish they had axes of this quality at this price point when I was first starting as a teen! This is a beautiful and well playing ax. I got the Desert Burst and man what a nice finish with the color, gloss, and wood grains. The neck and back are a color-matched satin finish, so your hand glides along the neck well, nice and fast and will wear well too. The pups give up LP tone and the sustain is predictably good. I will put different strings on it after I break one, and may remove the pick guard and eventually put in better pups. However, make no mistake, this ax has everything you need in a fine-looking and playing LP. It has the coil and boost controls too, everything you need for control options. I may buy another one before the price goes back up after the holiday deals, which it will. Or maybe I will snatch a returned one, and make it a fixer-upper or "project guitar".
