This is the "low impedance" (L) model, meaning it is expecting a low impedance signal, such as what comes from active pickups, or a buffered pedal, or your amp's fx send. I have this VP in my amp's fx loop and it works perfectly, acting as a master volume, because I only want the pedal to control overall volume, not gain and volume.The only "con" is that it took me a little while to adjust to the short sweep compared to a larger standard VP, but that wasn't a dealbreaker at all. I much prefer the compact size on my board.
Otherwise there really isn't much else to say. It's a volume pedal. It controls volume. And it does it smoothly, quietly, and reliably. Build quality seems to be excellent. I recommend this pedal. But remember if you're going to connect your passive pickup equipped guitar directly to a volume pedal, get the high impedance version, not low impedance.
