One amazing overdrive. Compared to the Ibanez 808 this is sounds better it gets cleaner and way more drive in the custom mode. It's even less money. .I have went to rock concerts and thought wow...how do they get that guitar tone. Well here it is. This thing will set a Marshall pre-amp on fire. If you have a Jcm 800 amp or a jvm410h (crunch channel) use this unit to drive the pre-amps harder and you have serious tone for metal or classic rock.

.This pedal is beautiful and sounds better than it ever has. However, you should spend plenty of time working with the tone knob to dial it in exactly where you like it. Minute turns of the knob allow for many sweet spots, and tonal differences. In my ears, this unit has a huge lower-midrange "push". Try cutting this back some by turning the tone to the left. Somewhere between 9 o'clock and 11 o'clock sounds very usable to me. Also remember, you should review the tone settings on both your axe and amp as well. Readjust everything just a little bit and you will find it's best use with your rig.
