This is absolutely the best metronome on the market. People said earlier that you can't keep the light on when it says clearly in the instructions to press and hold light and power at the same time and it will remain on. The built in coach feature is great for warmups. I love the memory settings because during high school I had drumline, jazz band, show choir, and my other bands songs all programmed into it with space for more. The bad thing was when the battery died all my tempos were gone and it was a pain to redo them all.

.This is a decent metronome. Easy to use for a practice tool. The biggest gripe I have is that the battery life is very limited. I cant get over how fast it eats up batteries. Yes you can plug it in to a wall outlet but then it is not as portable and becomes cumbersome. It would have been awesome if there was a built in tuner. A audible tone works but for the price, there should be a built in chromatic tuner too.

.Bought this and returned it the next day. It's got fantastic features, and the memory is ample (I think there are 50 spots to save "songs" and it's easy to plug a pedal in to switch between them). The problem? After you've spent 45 mins programming in all your songs (yes it takes that long even when you get good at it), any time the unit loses power even for a second, like when switching batteries, it loses everything in it's memory. Even worse, it loses all it's memory when you have fully charged batteries inside and you plug in the AC adapter! Unbelievable.

.I've been using this gadget for about a year...It's pretty fragile, it is def not loud enough for live and rehersal unless you put stereo in-ear bugs in both ears (so I use a headphone amp) and there are 4 sounds available and they all pretty much suck...a simple cow bell sound would top em all by far...oh, and it's pretty expensive too.I don't recommend unless you need it to sync to comp software like reason, ableton et... that was the reason I bought it and it does that well.

.Lots of features. The display is VERY small. Many of the key indicators are too small to see quickly. The blinking light is also to dim. I also have the Tama Rhythm watch which has a better display and much easier to use. It does nto have all the features of the Dr-90 but is much more practical for a drummer.

.Our praise band uses this metronome. As the worship leader, I ask the drummers to please use it. Playing with a metronome makes the band a much tighter band. We find the battery lasts through about two weeks of services. This would be six services and approximately six to eight rehearsals. We use an Aviom system for stage monitoring and have a dedicated line for the metronome. The roller dial is useful for quickly dialing up the next song tempo.

.I just use it for practice, I wish it would have more rythems variants, but does its job.I recommended.

.The only complaint I have about this is the price. However, if you have a birthday coming up or a gift card or something definitely go for it. Every decent drummer should be very comfortable playing with a click in live situations and this metronome is the most practical for both practice and live shows. It is definitely loud enough without being obnoxious, and you can program your whole set before the show starts. Pretty amazing!

.I've had this unit for about a year and a half now. I needed a metronome that I could sync to Ableton Live and my Roland SP808-EX. It does exactly what I need it to do which is to provide a click when playing live. I have it running through a headphone amp so that I can get more volume if I need it. Plus, if I need a clear monitor mix I can push the mix with the DB-90 through the headphone amp as well. However, I haven't had a need to do that because my floor monitor is loud enough and I can hear the click through the headphones. On another note this handles tempo changes via MIDI very well and the stand attachment comes in handy. I would suggest buying the AC adapter for it.
