Exceptional Sound
Thanks to its flagship-class GT sound engine, the GT-1 provides tone quality and sound-shaping ability that far exceeds typical compact multi-effects. A history of BOSS processing is at your fingers, from classics such as the OD-1 Overdrive to modern effects powered by innovative MDP technology. There’s a huge selection of COSM amp tones on tap too, including vintage legends and BOSS original amps optimized for ideal tone and response. Specialized effects like Acoustic Simulator, Guitar Simulator, and others provide numerous tonal options, and there’s even a looper to enhance your practice sessions and stage performances.

Portable Tone Partner
The GT-1 was designed for musicians on the move. It’s surprisingly lightweight and compact, yet still delivers the rugged durability that BOSS is famous for. The modern design is easy to slip in and out of a guitar bag’s accessory compartment, with no worries of hard edges causing damage to your axe. AC or battery power provides flexibility for any performing situation, and up to seven hours of battery life is available for street performing and other mobile gigs.

Easy Patch Selection and Sound Creation
With the GT-1, it’s simple to find fantastic tones for your style, and just as simple to customize them to taste. Beginners can get great sounds right away, while more experienced players will appreciate how quick and intuitive it is to adjust sounds. The Easy Select function allows you to choose patches by genre, distortion, or effect type, while Easy Edit lets you tweak drive, modulation, and echo tones to perfection with little effort. Dedicated panel buttons provide quick on/off switches for effect groups, and also unlock deep-dive parameters for microscopic fine-tuning.

BOSS Tone Central and BOSS Tone Studio
At BOSS Tone Central, you’ll find tons of free patch collections for playing all types of music with the GT-1. Created by pro guitarists, these patches are dialed-in and ready to use, and make great starting points for advanced players who like to create their own custom sounds. Background: session and gig guitarist. Mostly Pop,Rock,Rnb,Soul,Funk,Jazz,Blues.
I own the GT-1 for a week. Played with it,and did a gig with it.
I bought it for rehearsals and live gigs because i prefer not to bring my big and heavy pedalboard/amp/both every time.
TONE:
THE CLEAN SOUND (that i had a really hard time finding information online about) IS VERY GOOD and perfectly usable. Don't expect it to match a tube amp,but The amp modeling is of high standard. When you put a mild overdrive it sounds even better. Plus, you can always use the GT-1 in front of a tube amp so you'd get the best sound.
*Tip: The GT-1 Lets you configure what kind of output you'r playing through. When i plugged it in to my Blues Junior, it sounded the best using the STACK AMP output.
OD and Dist sound very good on this unit, although a bit harsh mids with some models as you would expect from a digital unit. This issue is easily fixed with parameter tweaking inside the models.
Modulation, Reverb,Delay,Wah are extremely good sounding. The Compressors are usable, but not on the same level.
EASE OF USE AND USABILITY:
Fantastic.Very intuitive and easy to tweak.
One issue though - It only has one footswitch for control (the other two is for going up or down the patches). What it means, is that i can only make one change to my sound. For example, i programmed it to kick in the OD on a certain patch. But what if i want a Chorus to kick in as well? it is possible by pressing the button that activates the chorus, but you cant do it with your foot because its to small. Therefore, I would recommend an additional footswitch if you are using it live.
As for usability, i'm blown away. This thing is about 1.2kg, fits in my gig bag and replaces my amp and fx! this is priceless for the gigging/session musician. i had a gig and i only took my guitar case, with the GT-1 inside.Nothing else.Very convenient(and healthy!)
BOTTOM LINE:
Convenient,great sounds and flexible.
Have Fun!

.I use multipedals mostly in my set up. The presets on the pedal are right on. I went to Tone Central and downloaded another 99 presets. I have never had a pedal that has had this many useful tones. I set up a blues set of downloads, classic rock tones, clean and jazz tones, and an acoustic section. There are 10 tones or more in each section that I can and do use. Yes, there were some weird sound sets but I replaced them from the library. I still have plenty of tones left to choose from. This pedal is so versatile and practical. Boss hit a homerun with this pedal.
This pedal completes my stage set. I go through a Radial shotgun, 4 way splitter to a Ve-8, GP-10, Sys300 and now the Gt1 (which replaces my big Gt). I can play acoustic, fusion or rock just by adjusting my volume control pedal from the units. At times there is a littlebit of everything going on for a fat fusion sound. I use a Radial mic splitter for vocals from the Ve-8 and Digi 4 for the harmony vocals. It is amazing what technolgy allows you to do today.

.So far so good for this rookie pedaler and the GT-1. I picked this up instead of trying to build a pedal board and wasting money on the wrong pedals. For the price this thing is pretty darn good. I've just been using the built in patches and the pre-made downloadable one, but the videos look pretty easy to make your own so I'll be doing that soon. The software makes it easy to stack the patches in the order of my projected setlists, and that is great.

.Diverse. A bit digital (not too much, though.) Computer editing is fantastic. Wi-Fi would be even better.

.Overall I have been very impressed with the GT-1. I have quite a few other multi-effect pedals and I will say....This pedal has the most usable patches right out of the box. I mainly use patches for a classic rock/bluesy tone and I have been very pleased with what this pedal has to offer. There are plenty of patches for you metal guys too!
The construction is sturdy and all functions are easy to use. The screen and lighting around the switches is really bright. It does not come with a power cord. (I ordered one right away. The only improvement I would suggest is to have this included.) I have not used it on battery power so I can't tell you how long it will run on batteries.
This has become my new favorite! I just love the sound I am getting out of the patches I use. They make my other pedals seem obsolete. I can't stop wanting to play with this thing!
I recommend the GT-1 and would not give mine up for anything.

.A great portable pedal with lots of different sounds. Even though you don't have banks or a manual mode to turn off effects you can assign sounds to the control or expression pedal which allows you to turn on/off effects with the press of a button or by using the volume pedal. Very handy. Kind of like having 2 or 3 patches in one. The sound will depend a bit on the type of guitar you have but all in all this is a very practical and solid unit. It's not going to match up to a good tube amp with a good pedal board but it certainly is worth the money and sounds great. Good job Boss.

.I sold Mooer GE100 and switched to Boss GT1 to see what's all about. I like the sound and setting, however comparing with Mooer 180 sec loop the Boss fail short and have only 32 sec. No Drums either and it doesn't comes with Power Adapter (you need purchase separate) So, it just simply effects pedal
Boss GT-1 Guitar Multi-Effects Processor
.I expected more from BOSS, the 32 second loop doesn't make any sense to me, even made in China Mooer GE100 have 180 sec and excellent quality sound, plus very nice realistic drum pasterns and comes with power supply, cost much less. Manual on GT-1 awful, I found only 1 things better between Mooer GE100 and BOSS GT-1 that you can set on each path a sound volume, the Mooer miss that option. I would recommend BOSS-GT1 only if you don't care about loop.
