This review is not about the sound quality....that is YET to be evaluated and I will post a review on this later when I have time with this.I purchased this item along with the SA SUB for use in a stage setting for my electric violins and Chapman Sticks. When I went to set it up as pictured online, the pole from the tripod only fits the SA 330x and is too small to fit the hole in the top of the SA SUB. There is no mention of this ANYWHERE in either manual or on Fishman's site. The could have easily engineered them both to have the same diameter as the unit is now leaning to one side and very dangerous that it can fall over. When contacting Fishman , I was told that there will be an accessory pipe to do this but it is not yet available...so meanwhile I spent over $1500 for a unit that I am afraid to use on stage and have to wait for however long for Fishman to make this available???
As far as I'm concerned they should have included it IN THE BOX with the SA SUB even if it costs a little more ,who cares ....but INCLUDE IT!! I was told that you could use it with the tripod and just sit the sub on the floor next to it by the representative....total BS. The object is to decrease the foot print size for stage use so you have more room...not less....common sense. They don't EVER picture it being used like that in their literature so why would they even suggest that??
Anyway , it's just another marketing ploy to get more money out of you and to not even have it available until AFTER the product is released is just BAD PLANNING and I still believe ANYONE who buys this will want it set up in that configuration so why not just include it or redesign it so the pole from the Tripod fits it?
I have NEVER bought a Fishman product before and this will influence any decision I will make in the future considering their products. To me,as a company...they are not very good or considerate of their users. I will follow up with a review on the actual product when I try it out.
