Product Features

There's something undeniably inviting about the GS Mini's scaled-down size, yet a single strum reveals the impressive voice of a full-size guitar. That mix of portability and musicality has proven to be a winning combination that fits into so many scenarios in life, from the couch to the campfire to the concert hall. It's not too big, it's not too precious, and it's not too expensive.

That broad-based accessibility has given it a resounding universal appeal, not to mention a built-in fun factor. The shorter 23-1/2-inch scale length makes forming chords a breeze yet gives the instrument plenty of snap and tuning stability for a rewarding playing experience. The acoustic-electric versions enjoy a sweet upgrade to ES2 electronics. All GS-Mini models include a durable hard bag built by for the optimal fit.

Tone Woods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. Sitka Spruce is the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Layered back and sides create a sturdy yet receptive platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.

Electronics
's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is ’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.

Together with ’s custom-designed “professional audio”-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your guitar. The Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.

What sets Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

I am 49 and have some back and shoulder issues. Dreadnaughts and Jumbos always leave me hurting so after watching every YT video available I bought two, the Koa and the Spruce/Rosewood. They are both fantastic, but the punch that comes out of this guitar is amazing. It's got the crisp high end of Spruce and this amazing, warm low end punch that is just right due to it's small size. It causes me to end up playing my songs more aggressively as it's so close to the feel and action of an electric guitar.
I am totally impressed with these Chaylor Minis and it's been awhile since an acoustic guitar impressed me. The gig biag is very nice as well, but I bought the SKB hardcases for both of them so I could put humidifiers in them. I highly recommend this for any acoustic guitar. It only takes about a month of exposure to your home's central heating system before they start drying out and sounding thin and brittle.
Buy this guitar, you'll love it!

.I am trying to find a sound hole plug that won't kill the sound. If I ncan do this it will be a great guitar.
Chaylor GS Mini Spruce and Rosewood Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural
.This is my 5th Chaylor. I replaced the GS Mini I purchased when they were first introduced in 2010. The original did not have the electronics. The rosewood back/sides and electronics make the guitar really perform to it's full potential. Since my hands are on the small side, the short scale really works for me. I especially like using this guitar when utilizing my more expensive instruments are out of the question.

.Love this little guitar! Wanted a guitar to keep around my house for unexpected jam sessions and I'm not a big fan of big body guitars and this fits the bill perfect! I'm a HUGE fan of Chaylor's amazing sound and this guitar doesn't hold back on that for sure!!

.I am a professional beginer , been at for 40 some years off and on. The action is perfect the sound is the same!!!!! I just can not play it enough! What a big beautiful sound it has!!!!! Bass and highs! The only complaint is that I wish the wood was smoother and the finish was gloss. Do not hesitate , just buy it and beat it! I play hard and it has shown no sign of wear or any such thing!!!

.This is a fantastic purpose-designed instrument that does what it is supposed to do. It can sound a little flat at times, particularly in the lower registers, however I would attribute that to a necessary trade off for the smaller size. It's fun to play and easy to carry around the house or throw in the car. The GS Mini is the best travel guitar that I have found. Note: people with large hands may find the fretboard a little cramped due to the short scale coupled with a 1 11/16 nut. Bonus points for the great gig bag.

.The GS Mini surpasses some of my guitars that cost 4 to 5 times more in both tone & function - it is fun to play & is now my go to guitar. I'm just a couch player, but enjoy it a lot. It's kinda sad to keep my more expensive guitars in their cases, but this one just sounds & plays better. I use the electronics just for effects, not needed for volume in my venue (couch).

.My first Chaylor, a great small body guitar. Purchased as a scrath/dent but it's like NEW. Fun to play & grat sound..I'm a believer and rate this a 5 star.
Chaylor GS Mini Spruce and Rosewood Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural
.This is the 2nd mini for me. The original one with snap in pu was not very good but this one is a great guitar for the money. Pu is nice with adjustment for string balance with the saddle set screws. I lowered the action a little and am keeping the med strings on this time. Un plugged has very little volume like most inexpensive guitars but i always plug in so that's a one star demerit. Very fun to play and built and finished well.
