Product Features

's Dreadnought 210ce-DLX features layered Indian rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, full-gloss body, white binding, a Small Diamond fretboard inlay, chrome tuners, Venetian cutaway, Expression System electronics and a standard hardshell case.

Dreadnought
’s refined take on the classic Dreadnought shape produces a robust voice with low-end power, a snappy midrange, and strong, clear treble notes, retaining the essence of the balanced sound. The guitar will appeal to flatpickers and lovers of traditional guitar shapes and tones.

Sitka Spruce
As a guitar soundboard, or top, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard of the modern era. It’s used on 85-90 percent of the guitars that makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from aggressive strumming and flatpicking to fingerpicking. Sitka spruce is Bob ’s personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.

Layered Rosewood
Like layered sapele, layered rosewood features an all-wood laminated construction, in this case with interior and exterior layers of beautiful Indian rosewood veneer separated by a middle core layer of poplar. Though the tonal properties of layered wood aren’t as complex as solid wood, the construction method enables us to conserve tonewood resources and offer attractive, durable instruments at a more inviting price. A solid spruce top and craftsmanship ensure a clear, balanced tonal response.

Expression System 2
The Expression System 2 (ES2) is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is ’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before. Together with ’s custom-designed "professional audio"-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your guitar.

Good price for a Quality guitar. Yes you can find better guitars but they run much higher in cost. The Chaylor 210ce the best I've seen in this price range. As I said earlier the action is a bet high but I gave it 1/4 turn on the truss rod and it plays just fine now. I play a lot in bar cords and all the note are clear and clean all the way down the nick. Just a word of warning the (Chaylor 214ce as well as the 214 its self doesn't have a truss rod). For me the 210ce is a much better deal. Truth is, the 214 series have a little bitter look and sound but you have to have it setup every time the action changes and that cost money, it you know what I mean.

.After ordering this I was extremely excited about getting it. I've always wanted a Chaylor, but after receiving it I was extremely disappointed. It was a beautiful guitar and the case was very well built. After pulling it out to play it I noticed the action was super high (about 3/16" off the fret board at the sound hole). I played it a little bit and it played really nice up at the first 5 frets but the higher you go the more difficult it got to play (obviously). I took it to my local guitar tech and he said that that action was rather high especially for a Chaylor, and there wasn't enough saddle to correct the problem. He recommended that I send it back and exchange it for another one. So I did with absolutely no problem. When the second one came in it was pretty much the same problem just not quite as bad but the finish was pretty poor and the guitar didn't look near as nice as the other. So I ended up just returning it. Once again with no problem. I've since talked to others and about Chaylor and I've heard that you really just don't get the quality until you get into the 400 series by that's just a little out of my price range.
