Product Features
In 1991, the Jackson Professional Series released their 1991 Limited Edition model. To begin with, the “Professional” models were made in Japan under the Jackson/Charvellicense with all Jackson parts. What separated this line from the American line is that, in many players’ opinions, the Professional guitars were better made. On the 1991 Limited Edition, the craftsmen at Jackson/Japan went all out. Built before the “Rare Wood” ban, this guitar sports mahogany from Africa, African Ebony, rosewood from India, and an incredible flamed maple top, most likely from Europe, and finished in “Amber Burst,” that I have to believe came from the states. The pick-ups are Jackson’s active electronic twin humbuckers with three-way switch, master tone control, and master volume control.
The inlay is both abalone and mother of pearl as seen in the combination of these two materials in the “Shark Tooth” fret markers. The “Jackson” logo on the headstock is written in script with hand cut mother of pearl. And finally on the twelfth fret in a mother of pearl block, are the words, “1991 Limited.” The serial number is further up the neck in light, but very pronounced etching. The reason this instrument is “Limited” is because there were only 200 build and distributed worldwide. As far as the “Super Strat” era is concerned, this is the finest Jackson guitar to ever come out of a Custom Shop.
It is in perfect condition with original case.
