This is a very nice quality Japanese instrument made in the Matsumoku Guitar Factory (Aria, Ibanez, Yamaha) in the late 70's/early 80's. This is a long scale (34") bass and I would estimate the weight at just over 9 lbs. Here are the specs from the current Westbury website:
"The TRACK II BASS has a symmetrical double cutaway chestnut body, bolt-on maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays, black head-stock overlay with Westbury logo and W design, two-per-side tuners, fixed bridge with adjustable saddles, black pick-guard, single P-style pickup, two knobs (volume and tone), chrome hardware, available in Antique Walnut or Natural finish. The Westbury Track ll Bass was manufactured from 1979 - 1981."

The bass is in good condition but shows some dings and wear (see pics). The action is comfortable and neck is straight. The pickup is the original DiMarzio Model P and due to its location, the sound is actually reminiscent of a Musicman Stingray. Very cool tone and even response in every register. It's currently strung with a new set of D'Addario Chromes. I've added the missing thumb rest since these pictures were taken. No case. Free shipping continental US only.
