I am the original owner of this pristine example of an early model McCarty (third year of production) built in 1996. The McCarty humbuckers can take you from classic rock all the way to blues and jazz. They sound terrific, with a full sound that covers a whole spectrum of genres especially with the push/pull coil tap.
The guitar is in superb shape and has no visible marks, dings or scratches (not even buckle rash.) The frets have a lot of life in them and the neck is straight and true.
The double cutaway mahogany body with flamed maple cap in tobacco burst finish comes in at 8 1/2 pounds. The wraparound stoptail bridge and pickup covers have slight oxidation.
Wide/Fat mahogany neck with pearl side dots and pearl moon dot inlays in the rosewood fingerboard. Frets show almost no visible wear, with plenty of life left in them. 1 11/16 nut width, 25 inch scale length. Vintage style tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should
The pickups are dual PRS McCarty humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector switch, push/pull coil tap, and amber speed knobs, 1x tone, 1x volume.
Original hard shell case and truss rod adjustment wrench are included.
