I first started using this gauge (but in GHS) soon after I began playing electric guitar, after playing acoustic for many years. They feel a little more like acoustic strings, which helped the transition. The GHS strings are great, but these are just as good, and I feel there may be some advantage in having the bullet ends, for my Strat trem. I play hard, and these hold up very well. .I have been using variations of Fender Bullets since they came out in the early 70's,,pure nickels are my favs but either sounds great on a fender guitar or any guitar for that matter
