I couldn't make a quality judgment because they don't work on my type of mandolin.When I went to put them on my mandolin I discovered the loop end had a brass ring in it. Thus, it didn't work with my mandolin. There is no place on the package that indicates these strings have the brass ring instead of the loop.

.These are good strings for the electric Mando Strat. There are 8 strings in the package. I ordered two sets because I wasn't sure there would be pairs. Now I have a reserve set.

.D'Addario used to make ball end electric mandolin sets, now they no longer do so. If you don't pick up these Fender strings you will be S.O.L. if you play an electric mandolin with a modern bridge. Everything else out there has loop ends, not ball ends. I just strung up my electric mandolin with these and there's a size bigger than the factory set that came with it, but they have good tone. I suggest stocking up on these!

.These are ball end strings! Probably won't work on most traditional mandolins. Got them cause I like Fender strings in general. If I ever get
an electric Mando, these will go on it!
