One of the best kept secrets out there. Compare with the pyramid and thomastik pure nickel strings and you'll see what a great value these are. I think all my basses sound best with these strings and have used them extensively the past 30 years and always come back to them. I think Alnico and ceramic pickups work best with these and there are no harsh overtones or twanging. If you like twang, I love the EB Hybrid strings. They're great for that extra edge, but on my Fenders especially you can't beat these strings.

.I have been using this string exclusive over the past 15 years in some capacity. Although they have changed (cloth wrapping is now gone) they still sound excellent on my Fender basses. I recommend them for use. They are easy on the fingers and they don't sound harsh through the amp. Good string.

.Installed these on my Geddy Lee Jazz bass replacing a set of 7250M's (same guage, but the 7150's are pure nickel as opposed to nickel-wrapped. There were no dead spots on the bass with the previous strings, and now with these the G string doesn't ring out from the 3rd to the 7th frets - very noticeable. I've now ordered a FatFinger to try, as well as a different set of strings.

.Once the strings were put on and begin to settle,
they delivered a rich, full sound. I'm used to Flat wound strings so they first felt a little rough but that's just the nature of Round wound.
The strings make a scraping sound as your finger slides down them but adding a little more bass tone on your amp will tame it. For the price? An excellent string.

.Excellent Tone, Bright Clear highs with Warm Fat Bottom End . Consistant from string to string with a Soft Feel !
Fender 7150M Pure Nickel Long Scale Bass Strings - Medium
.These Fender pure Nickel are my number one go to bass string of all time. This is the rich P-BASS vintage tone of the 1960's perfect for Motown, R&B, funk, Jazz and Blues. They last forever and the tone gets better with age....These are the best strings for a passive P bass split single coil. The price is right, the FENDER company invented the electric bass, and these are the original strings....they are classics! 45,65,85,105

.For the money, the strings work great on my recording bass. They have an even tone and great pop!

.These seem to add more fundamental and warmth to my VM jazz and P-bass. Nice feel and less screechy than regular rounds. Usually use lighter guage but after some bridge tweeking a little lower these are nice mediums and a good price. Really do have a broken in sound right off the bat that I like. I play finger style and sometimes add alotta treble and sound guys complained about finger noise. Id put flats on another P-bass and helped with that but these seem to have more precence that I hear better than the flats. I guess maybe not so great for pop and slap but I don't do much of that anyway. For classic rock ,country and blues I think these are really cool strings. I usually change strings only when they start sounding bad. Had these a month playin 3-4 times weekly and theyre great so time will tell.

.I love the natural fender sound on my P-Bass that I get with the 7150ML I've used every brand and type and these strings just have that right sound, not twangy or metallic (for more twang I recommend D'Addario same gauge, great string) One note: these strings need to be broken in, it's amazing how you can hear them break in the first time you use them and for me it takes a good two weeks of daily playing before they sound real nice and natural, Fender tone, growly.
