Original Bullets Pure Nickel bullet-end electric guitar strings deliver a smooth feel with reduced finger noise. The tone is rich and warm with abundant harmonics. Fender's patented bullet end creates a sonic coupling between the string and bridge block, for rock-solid tuning stability and increased sustain. These guitar strings are perfect for blues, jazz, and classic rock.

Fender has been an instrument of choice for many of the greatest musicians since 1946. Fender's popularity through the generations is a result of their design innovations and commitment to quality. These replacement guitar strings reflect this legacy and are worthy of the Fender name. Attention to detail and the finest materials ensure that you will get the best feeling and greatest sounding strings, set after set.

Pure nickel strings have a distinct, vintage-style tone with softer highs, more mid-range detail, and lower output than modern alloys. They generally work well with single-coil pickups and low-output humbuckers (like vintage PAFs) played at relatively low-gain settings. Think classic rock, blues, and EVH "Brown Sound" tones. If you're after high-gain, scooped-mids, modern metal tones, then pure nickel strings aren't for you.

I've used Fender pure nickel 9s on my vintage '56 Les Paul Junior, my '00 Custom Shop Les Paul Junior, and regular production '90s Les Paul Special. These strings are a great match to P90s! There's rich mid-range detail. Single notes have a bit of "bloom" to them and chords ring out with excellent note separation.

They have a slinky/flexy feel. Very easy to bend. I play with a light tough and low action, so that really works for me. If you're someone who really pounds the strings, you may want something with a more high-tension feel. They seem to last a long time, but my hands are dry and corrosion usually isn't an issue for me.

Overall, Fender makes some of the best pure nickel strings around, especially considering the very low price. They also offer you a choice of bullet-end or conventional ball-end, so pay attention to which one you order.

.First, (because I think gear affects tone) I should say that I use these strings on an American-made Fender Roadhouse strat from the 1990's and I play through a 2002 Fender Blues Junior.

SOUND/TONE: These strings (to my ears) sound great when played through the above gear, and I also use a Fulltone '70s Fuzz as well as a Fulltone OCD. The more mellow quality of these strings complements the Fuzz nicely, by the way.

The tones are not too bright (but not dull), and there is a nice warmth and fullness to the sound.

I find that these pure-nickel wrapped strings with warmer tone complement the Strat nicely. Nickel-plated strings, on the contrary, have made the bridge pickup too bright, and these strings (I think) are a much better fit for better tone.

I like the bullet-end, because it fits perfectly in the bridge of the guitar.

FEEL AND DURABILITY: The strings have a good feel (kind of soft to the touch), and seem to be durable. (I tend to have a softer pick attack than some, though).

BOTTOM LINE: Try these strings if you would like a vintage tone, and especially if you play a strat or tele. You may find some great new tones and discover that these strings help avoid the "icepick" tone that sometimes a tele bridge or strat bridge pickup generate.

.I used Ernie Ball strings on all of my electric guitars since the very early 1970's. One of my guitar playing buddys told me to give the bullet end, pure nickle wrap a try. The very first chord I hit had me hooked ! I couldn't believe the difference. I consider all of the money I'd spent on the EB strings , a total waste. These strings , as far as I'm concerned , are the BEST ! Thank you SO much. The bullet ends work great the way they sit in the bridge block.

. This is just a no-gimmick string that sounds good and fits Fender guitars like a champ. Go for it.
The tone is great because of the nickel and because the brass bullet end fits snugly into the body of my Fender telecasters. The bullet end was made in Germany last time I looked. The strings are long enough that I'm not pressed for space when stringing the high E string on the top of the Fender peg head. The unwrapped part of the string is long enough to slip easily through the guitar and up into the Fender bridge. If you have a through-the-body bridge Fender, these strings are for you.
I've never had a problem, and the strings are wrapped in little envelopes that are more convenient and more compostable than the poly/foil bag that D'Addarios and Ernie Balls come in.
The price is reasonable enough that I can change strings frequently, without waiting for one of them to crump at an inopportune moment.

.Great strings for the Strat. Only thing I don't like is that they put 2 strings in the same envelope in the package. When I tried to separate them, it did not turn out well. Individual sleeves would be better.

.Love em, Love em, Love em!
They way are wound the winding flattens a bit cutting down on string scrap noises.

The bullet ends keep the string very stable. I use them in my Fendar start, Les Paul, etc. everything.
