I've tried different brands of strings on my telecasters,but I always go back to Fenders strings.they bring out the twangFender 150R Original Pure Nickel Electric Strings -
.I love my strats and tele. I've tried several brands but I think these are the best bang for the buck. It's all preference, but I love the sound and feel of pure nickel. I've tried using "plated" strings by Fender and other companies, but I always come back to these strings.

.I really like these strings. They are warm, and give what I believe to be the best tone on my Stratocaster's and Telecaster.
I don't really remember when I first started using Pure Nickel strings (of any brand), but I DO know I have never used anything but Pure Nickel since.
The strings got a 4 star rating. I purposely omitted 1 star because, I feel they don't last as long as say a Nickel wound D'Addario would...but then again, I have not found a Pure Nickel D'Addario set of strings. So I forfeit the longevity for the tone.
I DID just today order some Fender 150M (medium gauge 11's)...which are also Pure Nickel. I would never order 10 sets of strings if I didn't like them. Once I get to play the 11's, I will give a review on that product page.
As far as Fender Pure Nickel strings go...you can't go wrong on the tonal quality.

.Over 50 years of playing I have tried other mfg. stings in a pinch but always came back to Fender 150's finding them consistant in every aspect... which to a guitarist means always having the feel and sound you expect each time you play.

.I've been playing for over 20 years. Played many types of guitars before I settled on the Strat. I've used these strings on all of the guitars over the years. Back then string breakage was my main problem. These strings have been proven reliable over the years. The best feature is their durability with strength as well as tone. And you can't beat the value.

.I am surprised that a reviewer would trash a set of string that clearly was a defective pack....probably the fault of how they were stored by the retailer. I have 7 Fenders (4 strats) all strung with Fender Pure Nickels. Years ago I used EB's and recently forced to try GHS Rockers (within a couple days the new string sperkle was gone). The Fenders are indeed a perfect match for Fender guitars. For the Strats the 3150R bullets have eliminated premature breakage I experienced with other brands. My other three Fenders are humbucking equipped and the barrel end 150R's have a nice response and a familiar feel for me.
