A good, flexible connector between stomp boxes, the right angled plug is a good feature. The screw on housing around the plugs becomes very loose though. Since I play mainly for my own entertainment it isn't a big deal. .The short 5' gold cord is fine but the black 10' cord has a cold soder joint and shortted out upon first use.

.Let's be honest, Fender markets a fair amount of low quality, over priced products including cables. Not this one. It is excellent, well made, and quiet. I have been using a Fender premium platinum cable (sadly no longer made) for years in my rig, from my pedals to amp, and it is still going strong. I bought the 18 foot, which I find to be a very practical length. I did wait for a sale though.

.I'm a pro level player of over 25 yrs. playing. I currently own and use the 5ft, 10ft, and 4 patch cables in tweed for a couple of years now. Love them, never had a problem, sound good and well constructed. I've seen at least 2 recent videos where Eric Clapton is using this same cable. So all the negative reviews must be people who got a lemon or just are abusive towards their cables.

.I've had the cable for 3 years, and never really liked it. First off, if you attempt to wind it up, the cloth wrapping will easily burn you if it slides too fast. Secondly, the PVC jacket at both ends comes off easily. When you attempt to remove the cable from your instrument, the jacket will just slide off in your hand. Thirdly, the metal screw comes undone by itself, and the cable tips will rattle. I guess I'm just not pleased with the low quality of something I have to use all the time. A cable may be the wrong place to save money...

.Made a lot better than those cheaper vintage tweed cables they are thicker for more signal to pass through and not stiff they coil up nice and easy not like the cheap brands. Was sorry to see they were not made in the USA.
