I've been playing guitars for about 12 years now and wow this one sounds awesome!! Has a good feel, I like the electric feel in an acoustic guitar, I used to own a Fender Stratocoustic Guitar and it felt good but was a piece of junk!! I hated it so I was a bit reluctant to try this one, I own 2 other acoustics one acoustic/electric Fender and another acoustic Epiphone. The Fender had great sound but fell apart shortly after buying it 2 years ago, the Epiphone has been with me for about 4 years now and is still together but the sound isn't as good, so I finally decided to give Fender one more shot, as long as this one stays together it will be awesome!! For the money I don't think you can find a better one, I've played some Gibson guitars that sound better but get your check book out and hang on cause they are a lot of $$. All in all you can't go wrong with this one, nice job Fender!!!

.I'm a drummer that loves to strum guitar and sing. In fact that's why I started playing guitar over 45 years ago. This is the 2nd Sonoran I have owed. It is better than the 1st. Easy to play and the sound is pretty good. not quite as full as my old Alvarez Tree of Life, but still pretty good. The electronics seem to be better than the one I had about 5 years ago. You can dial in pretty much the sound you want. This time it comes with a built in tuner. I bought the Surf Green cause I like the color. Comes with a nice set of Fender acoustic electric coated strings that M/F doesn't sell, but they do sell the DR type. I would say buy one if your looking for an inexpensive acoustic/electric. Don't think you would regret it. Rock on.

.I give it a three because it's a pretty average guitar. Although it holds a tune well, and the intonation is very good, it is nearly impossible to play. Its playability is despicable, and the only things that can be played are the most basic of open chords. Don't even think about lead guitar, and prepare for a cramping hand if you play barre chords. I did, however, find a satisfactory solution: I bought the lightest gauge strings I could, and I tuned them down a whole step from standard. It now is much easier to play, but there is a degree of string buzzing. If you have a lower voice like me, this works well, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

.I play guitar casually for several years now and I have several guitars that are not too pricey, but not too cheap either. I purchased this because I loved the look and it was actually so much nicer in person than the pictures. I purchased it as an "open box" item so that's why I found the price point a little affordable for something that I bought just for personal use. Along with my Custom Guitar's Friend Backstage Pass Points, I got it for a steal. The guitar was advertised as "blemished" on the website, but it came in near perfect condition with just a few dusts that I had to wipe off. It even came in the original Fender box. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and I have been getting compliments from the look to the sound.

.A beautiful guitar. I bought the Fender Sonoran, in surf green, to get back into playing acoustic. Once I build my skills back up, this guitar will be used for worship leading at church. A few years ago I was at a local guitar store and picked up a Fender Sonoran and was impressed by the warm sound a guitar of this price produced. A few years later I pulled the trigger and am completely happy. Having smaller hands, the Stratocaster neck fits my hand great. I read that this guitar is considered intermediate, however I can't imagine this acoustic to fit in for any situation. The only "con" that I listed above is the quality of the materials of the tuning keys. With the rest of the guitar feeling and looking great, I feel Fender skimped here. The guitar has stayed in tune fine so far, it's just that they are a cheap feeling plastic. I also restrung with some higher quality strings. Overall, I'm so glad I bought this guitar - what a great value.

This guitar is amazing, I didn't think it was going to be any good at first, but once I picked it up, it felt "right", the way it sat on my lap, and how easy it was to play. The way it resonates through the body it very intriguing.

.I have been looking at these off and on for a while. I have been intrigued with the Strat style neck on Fender acoustics for many years. It has a surprisingly good sound for an acoustic with a solid color paint finish. I had to do some setup work on it ( lower the bridge saddle, by sanding off some material from the bottom of the saddle) to make it play better. The pickup is pretty good, but the preamp really helps to make it sound good when amplified.

.Who would have thought that when all was said and done The One True Guitar would be a beach blanket throwaway from Fender? I love this guitar! I can play pretty much anything I can play on my Telecaster on this guitar. I don't practice with anything else anymore. I find myself thinking I've flubbed some lick or phrase but if I just keep going it turns out I didn't. This neck actually makes me play better. I did need to get it set up after I got it. It wasn't especially playable out of the box, but after the bridge was raised a hair and the truss rod disenCaliforniated, it's the best playing acoustic I've ever owned. No kidding.

.I've been visiting my local shop and playing this guitar every time I'm there; I knew from the first time I played it that I'd buy one. The surf green really caught my eye as a vintage but uncommonly offered color, and the guitar's sound is indescribable (but I'll try). For a relatively cheap guitar, I couldn't believe the fullness in tone the Sonoran offers; it produces singing highs and mids while still delivering a serious punch in the low end. Overall, it's a very well balanced tone unmatchable for the price. And that was before plugging it in! The onboard tuner is extremely handy, and there's an eq control right there to adjust your tone to your needs. The stratocaster style neck and headstock is also a cool feature; the neck is very comfortable to play on in any area, and it's easily adjustable if you don't like it right out of the box. Mine needed a little action adjusting but after 5 minutes of truss rod adjustment it plays like a dream. The only complaint I have is just a personal peeve- with the pearl pick guard and edge lining it was just a bit much so I ripped the pick guard off for a more modest look. Anyway, bottom line- don't let the price tag fool you, this is a high quality music machine.

.This thing is worth the money, but it's nothing special. I tried this out at a few gigs and the sound is Okay. The playability is surprisingly very good. The finish looks cool. But when I plugged this in to do my gig, it sounded pretty thin. It didn't have the full-bodied warmth you normally expect from acoustics. However, this does make a great practice/back up guitar. And it looks super cool as well.
