I've had several travel-size guitars and was never quite satisfied with them. This guitar is a definite step down size-wise from a full-size acoustic, but has a rich sound, great action, seems to stay in tune forever, and just generally is a very nice guitar (especially at the price). No construction or finish flaws that I've detected (other than the very slight buzz at the 2nd fret, 1st string). I definitely can recommend the CP-100.

.I got this guitar take on campouts, parties, and to use at open mics I run, so I would not have to use one of my expensive acoustic guitars.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the build and the sound when it came.
I like everything about this guitar. It's plain Jane old blues look, the neck shape, the fretboard, the tuners, nut and saddle, and most of all the price.

Sound wise it is kind of mid range. No it is not boomy like a solid wood guitar but it projects just fine and is not cheap sounding one bit.

This has a full size guitar feel to it. The nut width is 1.69 inches which fits this guitar for finger style playing nicely. The neck has a comfortable shape and overall the guitar is easy to play.
The set up and string height out of the box is just fine. I had to look close to see there was binding on the body and neck as it is absolutely seamless. The fret ends are finished nicely. The overall finish is flawless. The open gear tuners do the job and add a nice vintage touch. The nut and saddle look like a hard synthetic bone like material and is not plastic. I put some better bridge pins in I had sitting around to replace the plastic ones and it seemed to warm up the sound a little and add some sustain.

Mine had a very slight fret buzz on the G string on a couple frets. It comes with a truss rod wrench. A slight adjustment on the truss rod and the buzz seems to be gone.

The only thing unsightly is the strap button on the body. At least they put a felt washer under it and did not tighten it into the finish or dent the wood with it so I just had to fill the screw hole with some dark wax filler.

My favorite quick installation pickup is the Barcus Berry 1455-3 insider. You just drill the end pin hole out to 1/2 inch and stick the pickup inside under the saddle and you are good to go. No batteries needed. I use a little Roland battery cube amp with it at campouts and acoustic jams. It rocks.

As for a case, It drops right into a classical size case perfectly.

.Just a fun and super comfortable guitar to play! For the money it is really a great bargain and the fit and finish is surprisingly spot on. I know the old saying, you get what you pay for, but here is an exception to that rule. For it's price with free shipping, this is a decent deal for a decent guitar. First thing that I did upon arrival is that I removed the factory strings and put on a set of light gauge (12's) D'Addario strings. Then I let the guitar just sit in the house without playing it for week to let it get used to the temperature and humidity. Then I adjusted the truss rod. And now with the strings stretched out, the relief dialed in, the guitar sounds great, stays in tune and is a ball to play. I have 3 American Strats and a Martin and now they are all taking a back seat for the CP-100. Just because it is so fun to play. Isn't that what music should be all about!

.I was looking for a small body guitar for home use, and the CP-100 is just right.I wasn't expecting it to be such a nice guitar. The sound is better then I expected, and it was playable right out of the box after I tuned it.There are no buzzes or funny noises, and the neck is full size. The small body fits well under my arm making it comfortable to play, which is what I was looking for. I really like this guitar, and the price was right!

.I bought this guitar because I wanted an affordable travel guitar to practice. I figured: it's small and cheap so it's not gonna sound good, but boy was I surprised! Great sound for a Fender acoustic parlor! However, the 1st string buzzed 'cause it was hitting the fret board so I had to get that fixed. I had the whole guitar leveled. I also changed the strings and put in a new saddle, since it comes with a Synthetic one. All around, a great small guitar!

.Guitar was exactly what I expected, if not beyond.
For me, the sound is perfect, just as I imagined it would sound.

Although this doesn't matter to me,
I was impressed that when I unpacked
the guitar, the strings were already
tuned within their standard intervals
(although obviously not to standard E,
due to shipping regulation.) AND the
stock strings actually aren't totally disgusting.

I was impressed.

.The Fender is a adequate parlor guitar. Not a great one. I was shopping for a travel guitar to replace my 12 year old Big Baby Taylor. Hard act to follow! If you want an inexpensive guitar that plays reasonably well and sounds okay, this one is a good choice. But once again the truth is; you get what you pay for. I didn't care for the neck shape or thickness. The Big Baby Taylor has a much nicer neck and by far better tone, but double the price. Intonation was good and finish was okay. Volume was good, but range of tone was lacking, a bit muddy. Maybe strings could correct that. There are much better parlor guitars available but you will pay more. So, once again its all about finding the best match for your budget. And I was not satisfied so I sent it back. BTW; return shipping to Kansas City from Florida was the price of a steak dinner for two! So choose wisely my young friends.
