I don't want to slam MF here because I have bought many guitars, amps, lighting etc.. from them over the years and have always been happy with the products and their service. As a player for over 35 years I was excited for my first American made tele to arrive and shocked that this one made it past inspection before being shipped. The screws that were designed to come up thru the saddles to keep the strings in place were so high above the bridge plate and were so sharp on their tips that strumming anywhere near the bridge resulted in my palms getting sliced up. I never thought playing guitar could be that hazardous. Nor did I feel I should bring an expensive guitar like this to a shop and pay more money for the string tips to be ground down or capped in some way. I sent it back to MF unsure if I wanted to purchase this guitar and without asking they sent another one. The replacement arrived yesterday and I'll check it out today to see if it's worthy. Otherwise I may get the '72 thinline which has a strat type saddle that won't result in bloody palms.

.Got a nice deal on this guitar that was listed as blemished, but didn't appear to have a single scratch on it when I received it. It was setup perfectly on arrival and I can't find a flaw on it. Tuners are stable and solid, everything is tight and where it should be. Neck pocket is perfect. Neck itself is perfect, no sharp frets.

Really enjoying the Texas Special pickups. These are warmer and a little fatter than other vintage-style Tele pickups I've played, which is perfect for me. Still sounds like a Tele too.

Overall, super happy!
