this neck fit my 1970's vintage squire body like it was made for it. i cant even fit a peice of paper anywhere in the neck joint. super tight and precise. i love how this neck feels and plays the quality is exactly how a fender should feel. out of the box i was impressed with the quality of workmanship from fender and once again satisfied with musicians friends' reliability. i got the all maple neck, traditionally i always get rosewood because i like how it looks. but there was always the issue of grainy texture whenever i bend the strings. but the all maple neck is so smooth and offers a little more glassy brightness when played clean. absolutely love this neck!!Fender USA Stratocaster Neck, 22 Medium Jumbo Frets Maple

The saying "you get what you pay for" is true with an American made Fender neck. Although pricey, the quality is excellent. I put it on myself and it was a perfect fit. The only thing you need to have done is to have the nut finished by someone that knows what they are doing. It took the guitar tech 5 minutes to do the final filing on the nut and he didn't even charge me for it.Fender USA Stratocaster Neck, 22 Medium Jumbo Frets Maple
.Had to replace the nut, the person who returned it cut the string slots to deep, also had to file the ends of the frets they were a little sharp and there were two holes were one should have been for the string tree_No big deal, the discount made it well worth the trouble.
Over all it's a pretty nice neck, I'm happy
