Product Features

Honoring the electrifying "Voodoo Chile" who popularized the Stratocaster guitar and its tremendous sonic flexibility, the Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster gives you the same fiery tone and playing feel to wield as your own. Full of incendiary vintage tone and classic style, this extraordinary instrument features signature touches and unique appointments based on his distinctive flipped-over guitars.

The foundation of Hendrix's uniquely personal sound and playing style was his habit of flipping his guitars over and restringing them to accommodate his left-handed playing, resulting in a reverse headstock and bridge pickup features reproduced here in exacting detail. The reverse headstock produces a longer string length for the bass strings, creating a tighter playing feel along with easier bending and vibrato on the treble strings. A trio of unsurpassed American Vintage 65 single-coil pickups includes a reverse-slant bridge pickup, producing uniquely inspiring tone with tight, warm sound and enhanced upper harmonics and definition.

The highly versatile 9.5"-radius C-shaped maple neck with medium jumbo frets offers a flatter playing surface ideal for chording while simultaneously allowing you to bend notes to the stratosphere without fear of fretting out during scorching solos. Commemorating Hendrix's unrivaled legacy, the large '70s-style headstock bears the guitarist's signature on the rear. A unique neck plate displays a shoulders-up silhouette of the man himself and the engraved inscription, Authentic Hendrix, leaving no doubt as to the inspiration behind this guitar.

Available in classic Olympic White or Black, both with chrome hardware and including a gig bag, the Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster is your chance to unleash your own electric sky church music.

This could easily be your #1 guitar. Just like any new guitar, you have to adjust to your style.
As we all know the tone comes from your fingers. So if you want to play like Hendrix................
YOU NEED A LOT OF PRACTICE AND PATIENCE!!!!. Anyway, the guitar has a great tone acoustically. plugged in your favorite amp.and you'll be very impressed on the sound of the pickups, very 60's tone.
the neck is very wide and comfortable. If you have small fingers it'll take a little adjustment. But this guitar is so well made you won't be able to put it down. The medium jumbo frets are well polished and there is no fret-out or buzz. The tremolo works perfect just make sure you stretch the string and lubricate the nut with pencil graphite or some kind of nut lubricator, the neck is reversed and feels a little strange but like everything else you'll get used to it in a jiffy.I own a lot of guitars Fender, Charvel, Gibson , ESP, James Tyler, well what I mean is that I know what I'm saying. Made in Mexico Fender Artist guitars, are as good as the U.S made guitars period!!!!. Custom Guitar's Friend is the best buy you can get. You won't regret it.

.I've been a Jimi Hendrix fan for years, so when this instrument came available I just had to have one.

It's a fun instrument to play, and produces some very nice Hendrix tones. It's not exactly how I would have designed a Hendrix model Strat (I won't go into a lengthy explanation), but it's a good MIM instrument with an okay price tag.

My only big complaint is that the low "E" string jumps out of the nut slot when you're playing aggressively. The low E string nut slot on the guitar that I purchased is very shallow, so a new nut should fix the problem (or perhaps lower the string tree for more tension). I shouldn't have to replace a nut on a brand new instrument, so in my book this particular guitar that I purchased is a fail. As it is, until I replace the nut I won't be gigging with this guitar, the E string jumps out of the slot to often.

It also produces a little crackly noise when your pick hand brushes across the pickguard, but that's part of the Fender - single coil vibe.

I really like the finish. It's very shiny and reminiscent of the finish on the first Strat I purchased in the early 70's.

That's about it... I like the instrument, but it's not my favorite Stratocaster that I own.

.I have read some negative reviews about this guitar, but, as for me , it is one of the best strats I own(I have 130 guitars, including 13 strats. I love the way it plays, sounds (with those "65 pu's), and the black finish
and reverse headstock make a head turner. I think it's an all around winner of an instrument, the kind you pick up to play and suddenly two hours have gone by and it seems like minutes. FL

.The reverse slant of the treble pickup makes too much sense. A more full-bodied wide open treble without making your teeth hurt. Conversely, the available treble on the lower strings gives it more definition. It just gives me more reasonable tonal availability. I love the neck finish and radius. The reverse headstock allows for better lower string vibratos due to less string tension. This guitar is logical, and quite frankly, is an inspiration to play. (I've been playing for over 50 years.)

.I bought one of these from another website, as musician's friend did not have any for sale that day. This is a great MIM guitar. It plays great and the vintage 65 pickups give you that Hendrix strat sound. I prefer that the body is a regular right handed strat with reversed headstock and bridge pickup. You buy this guitar to have the Jimi Hendrix look, sound and signature on guitar at an affordable price. Does it sound and play as good as my custom shop stratocaster or Don Grosh strat no not even close. But for its price its a great guitar

.I tried this guitar today at a music store, i cannot tell you how disappointing it was for me. Ive always venerated 60s and 70s Fenders they really feel and sound awesome, this guitar is none. Total lack of Sustain and even for a Strat wich tells of a really bad wood selection and poor construction. Neck is a really modern thing, way too flat and poorly done, it just feels cheap... not even an attempt to replicate the original neck Hendrix used, wich has to be rounder and chunkier especially if u plan bending like Hendrix... And to set the nail in the coffin, Pickups are dead sounding, its flat and lifeless, even standard Mexicans from early 2000s do way better... Maybe if this guitar was priced at half the price i would think its a fair buy... Fender is ruining itself with these lifeless overpriced guitars....U compare this to an Sg Faded and ull see what i mean....

.Got this guitar yesterday, it was everything I thought it would be. This is my first Stratocaster. I look forward to playing it a lot.
Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster Olympic White Maple Fingerboard
.Great sound! Jimi's tone was in his fingers, but this sounds and plays great. The set up was spot on for me out of the box. The pick ups have a nice tone through all selections. I have been a Hendrix nut since before I can remember. I had to have it and would buy it again. The only thing I disagree with is the bridge, The SRV strat rocks a lefty bridge. It would have been a nice touch on this one to. Beautiful Stratocaster all around.

.This instrument is awesome. Fantastic look and finish, plays smooth, and the tone is amazing.
Fender Jimi Hendrix Stratocaster Olympic White Maple Fingerboard
.The true root of Jimi Hendrix's sound was in his fingers and playing style. No guitar will ever emulate that, it's about the player. As for the guitar, expect the same quality out of this as you would any other made in mexico stratocaster (because it is one). Getting as close as you can to Jimi's guitar would entail finding a mid 60's standard strat or a vintage american reissue '65, then getting the 'wrong' left/right configuration and flipping it.

I like the tweaks they made to this guitar to replicate Jimi's setup. One BIG modification that isn't included is the top whammy bar orientation (rather than bottom). That would have been really cool!
