1. Battery life. I went through 2 batteries with only a few uses of the tuner. It appears this unit drains the battery even when off. I measured this with a precision micro-amp meter (Model MV-852). When the tuner is on, it draws about 7.4mA (milliamps). This is no problem. However, turned off it draws about 72uA (microamps). I think excessive compared to other similar tuners. To keep it short, if you do the math you get about 90 days battery life with the tuner OFF. Less if you use it. I either got a dud, or the sleep mode current is high on this unit. I now plan to take the battery out if i'm not using it once a week or more.
2. Positioning. Even though it has 2 axis of rotation it seems it's hard to get it level with your eyes / vertical to the ground when used on a guitar, bass, or especially a violin. This is no big deal if you dont mind viewing it sideways.
3. Modes: I wish there was a seperate on/off button and Mode button. It's quite easy to click the on/off button an extra time on power up and get into a mode you don't want.

I normally order th Snark but the cost has gotten much higher. Since these unit get a bit of use, it isn't beneficail to pay more than necessary. Ther snark is easier to use .Fender FT-004 Clip-On Chromatic Tuner
.Great and conveniant little tuner and very accurate. It save lots of time. Just clip it on to the headstock and tune. I bought one for the lead , rythm and bass guitar players in the band. Highly recommend it.

.Only one point off for not having calibration (if you absolutely need that look elsewhere), but as I said that can be considered a bonus for most people who just want to tune up and play fast.
I bought this for my girlfriend (who used to tune to a 1960-ish pitchpipe before we met). She was often confused by any electronic tuner with calibration as she would carefully tune before any jam only to find out she was pitched to something other than A=440.This one is small, accurate and simple with the added bonus of the color-change to green when proper pitch has been achieved. The display is easy to read and simple with no flashy, distracting gimmicks that I have seen in other recent tuners.

.I do not have a lot of experience with clip-on tuners. This is the first one I have owned. It seems to do the job on my 5-string bass, with a nice bright display that is WAY easier to see in daylight than my old, worn out Korg, but you might have to wait a few seconds for the display of each note. Access to the battery compartment only requires a coin in your pocket. From the reviews I have read on other brands, I would say that this tuner matches up well with most others costing 3 times as much.
