Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), we weren’t content to rest on our laurels. Our team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If we were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials we did; if it didn’t need improvement, we left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.
Developed by vintage pickup master Tim Shaw, the brand-new V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. The
newly redesigned Telecaster bridge sports three compensated brass barrel saddles for the perfect combination of vintage style with modern feel and performance. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern “Deep C”- shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.
The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Telecaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.

I played every telecaster available right now before purchasing the American pro. It has the most amazing sounding pickups in my opinion. Exactly what I wanted. They are perfectly balanced and responsive and they are not hot and muddy like the fat 50s on the American standard and they aren't stale and lifeless like all the Mexican models. The rosewood fingerboard absolutely does take away at least 50% of the spanky tele twang you would typically get from a maple board telecaster. But that's why I chose it. It still has it when you want it -especially in the middle and bridge positions but it is also a very smooth blues machine in the neck position as well. Very stratty with a bit more bass. Which in my opinion makes it much more versatile than the maple Neck model which I have also played extensively as my friend owns if. The sonic Grey is really a pale muted blue and looks absolutely beautiful. Fit and finish are top notch. Set up, intonation and fretwork are perfect out of the box. Which is rare even for expensive guitars like this. My only complaint is the neck shape. The new deep c neck is HUGE. I'm sure large handed people will disagree and say how comfortable it is but I have short fingers and this neck is much harder to play than my American standard Strat with the standard c profile. That being said it wasnt a deal breaker but I definitely would try to play one before you order one. The tone of this guitar is so good that I decided to just get used to the neck shape. Just be warned. Other than that which is strictly a matter of opinion I have zero complaints.
