Fender is guided by one clear, simple directive: make life better for musicians. While the original Telecaster certainly did that (and then some), they weren’t content to rest on their laurels. Fender's team of mad scientists examined every component in near-microscopic detail. If they were able to improve it with a new design or modern materials, they did; if it didn’t need improvement, they left it alone. When the wood chips and solder fumes settled, what was left was the American Professional Telecaster—everything you need to play your best.

Developed by vintage pickup master Tim Shaw, the brand-new V-Mod single-coil pickups are voiced specifically for each position, mixing alnico magnet types to produce powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. The newly redesigned Telecaster bridge sports three compensated brass barrel saddles for the perfect combination of vintage style with modern feel and performance. Retain high-end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The modern “Deep C”- shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Telecaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.

My Telecaster quest has been a long one...I'm basically a hollow body guy (Gretsch), but I've wanted a decent Tele for like, forever. My current model (before this) was the Squier CV Tele, which IS a fine instrument, no doubt, but I wanted a "proper" Telecaster - so I had a few criteria that had to be met:
1. American Made
2. Maple Neck
3. Brass Saddles
Now, not only have I owned a few Telecasters over the years, most were MIM and I sold or traded all of them, because I just couldn't bond with any of them. I bought the CV Tele because I HAD to have a Telecaster in my arsenal. I tried and played all manners of Tele's (American Standard, Vintage RI) in my quest and even the Vintage Reissues I played left me seriously underwhelmed. Then this model came out...
Let me start by saying, right out of the box, this beauty was PERFECT - Flawless fit and finish, I have nearly all of my guitars professionally set up - not this time, the action was perfect. Plugged into my Swart AST, popped the switch to the bridge position, strummed an E chord, and my jaw just dropped... here was THE sound I was looking for. Just unbelievable. Now, my Gretches aren't going anywhere, but this guitar has now become my new #1 - everything about this instrument screams "quality". I'm going to stop the review here, because I'm babbling, but the bottom line is this: This is the Telecaster I've been waiting for, I couldn't be happier. BTW, I got the Black model with the mint pickguard.

.I had always wanted a telecaster, always have admired the classic look and sound. I went into guitar center and thought I would love the all rosewood neck mint green version, while that did look and feel great , the GC employee said try this one out. Playing a tele is a bit different than the other electrics I've owned (LP studio, 335, start). It took a while to dig into the guitar to find the sounds I like, but once you find them you know. Best thing about the guitar is the neck, every time you feel the neck its friendly and wanting to be played. Solid features throughout the guitar. One thing I was a bit surprised about was the weight, much heavier than the all rosewood neck version or most strats. Also a bit of buzz when playing lowere strings past the 9th fret, which I thing is ok especially with teles as it doesn't get picked up thru an amp and adds a little bit of the twang.

For me a tele is symbol of simplicity, with two knobs and a 3 way switch there's a lot of possibilities in this guitar. I got the guitar with 45 days period to return, and I'm not sure I want to let this thing go.

Pure fender enthusiasts will say that this new line is blasphemy. Probably have a point, but it's a powerful instrument that looks and feels great

.Very nice guitar. Enjoy all the new features, neck, frets, body. Seems like a they made a old style Tele with subtle improvements to make it even better.
