The Cordoba 20BM is a baritone size ukulele that features a solid mahogany top and mahogany back & sides. The natural wood pattern rosette and satin finish make this a truly beautiful instrument for the both beginners and ukulele enthusiasts alike.
Baritone ukuleles are played in a variety of tunings. Cordoba baritone ukes come set up in one of the more popular tunings, which matches the top 4 strings on a guitar (DGBE). The strings used are Aquila Nylgut baritone uke strings, which include a wound 4th-D and 3rd-G strings, and Nylgut 2nd-B and 1st-E strings.

Since the tuning is the same as the 4th-6th strings on a guitar the baritone Uke has been very easy to tone since I also have a clasical guitar and an electric tuner.I wanted something bigger than the standard Uke and after reviewing all the styles I chose this.
I found this model to be a very good quality and tlhe tone is great.
The value received for the price is outstanding

.In the beginning, I bought three Rogue baris to fool around with-adjust action, re-string with Aquila strings ( both GCEA and DGBE sets.) I enjoyed them, and got used to their playing and 'heft'. My new Cordoba's tone is way superior to those. I have a Lanikai tenor too. Its tone is good too, about like the Cordoba. I really like the Cordoba in all respects, but one---it seems/is light in weight. The neck is thinner than the Rogues. I find it a bit "slippery", ie harder to hold on to because of its slick finish and lightness compared to the Rogues which have a satin finish and are quite a bit heavier and have a thicker necks. I think I will get used to the new feel in time. I have been playing only about a year now. The sound is very good, and it is beautiful in a understated way. In summary, I like it and have no real complaint about it.

.After receiving 2 of these baritone ukuleles and finding bad frets on both I cancelled my order and will try something else. Tone was good. Setup was good except for frets, neck pitch was good but had no relief and in the case of the 2nd one the neck had a very slight back bow. Body workmanship was good. I would have kept the first instrument and been quite happy if it wasn't for 2 really low frets. The 4th fret was particularly buzzy and low enough that on a couple of the strings when you played the 4th fret you heard the 5th fret note sound. On the 2nd instrument the fret issue was mostly the 2nd string and it was very bad.

.I was looking for an affordable mahogany baritone uke. Laminated models sounded thin and felt cheap. This Cordoba model has a solid top which gives a warm, full tone. It is nicely constructed and has a fine appearnce. For the price, it is a good value. I would recommend it to a novice or someone wanting to add a bari-uke to their arsenal.

.I've been playing guitar for 16 years and started playing ukuleles this year. I started out on a soprano, and then decided to get the baritone. I wish I had tried out other ukes before ordering this one. The craftsmanship is terrible. It looks lopsided, there's glue that's clearly visible holding this thing together. The wood is some sort of plastic composite that is easily cracked and scratched, plus it'll slip right off your lap. The tone is terrible. But above all the frets buzz...every fret, every string. Save yourself the trouble. Get a Kala or Lanakai, I'm sure they'll sound much better.

.This is the third baritone ukelele I have bought for family members. The cheaper ones have setup issues, and the saddle and nut are glued in place, so replacement is difficult. THIS baritone uke has no setup issues - no string "buzz" on frets. You will need new strings to coax the best tone out of this uke, but it's a great instrument for the price. I play classical guitar and I use baritone uke to introduce my kids to the instrument. This is a great starter.

.I've owned various other Baritone ukulele models from other makers some even luthier grade level. Such as Graziano and Kamaka and as they say 'for the money' this is a great buy and trust me this can keep up with them nicely, I believe even better. So I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this over any of them out there right now. I plan on using it live and in professional situations.

.I bought a baritone ukulele because it is tuned like the bottom four strings of a guitar, so I would not have to learn new chord patterns, since I play classical guitar. There is also more room for my left hand fingers between frets than on a regular ukulele.
