I have played ukulele for several years now, and have become enamored with Cordoba's instruments, a relationship that started with their guitars years ago.
I now own three Cordobas: The 55FCE guitar, the 20CM uke, and as of today, this 20TM-CE.

I'm blown away by this thing. I do a lot of street performing, and this little guy has some serious projection, and gorgeous, warm tones. While it feels and sounds on-par with classical guitars when fingerpicked, it can also put out some high-octane tones if rhythmic strumming is called for, and i haven't even plugged it in yet!

The satin finish is smooth and even, which feels wonderful on the neck, and the attention to detail is breathtaking.

I highly recommend this ukulele to beginners and pros alike.

.I received this uke for my birthday, and I felt like I needed to write a review. Right out of the box, this ukulele felt alive in my hands. Well intonated, sweet tone, and great looking to boot! I feel that maybe the previous reviewer had unreal expectations (wanted it to sound like a guitar?) because my Cordoba sounds GREAT! Nice full, balanced tone. As far as staying in tune, as with all nylon stringed instruments, you have to tune it several times before it starts to hold a tuning. I have only had this for two days, and it stays in tune very well. The preamp is nothing to write home about, but if you need to be amplified, it works very well. I would highly recommend this ukulele to anyone who needs a nice sounding ukulele and will need to plug it in occasionally.

.I've had this for 3 years now and it still plays like a champion. It has a nice crisp tone to it that stuck out to me once I got it. It looks really nice, there is no buzzing on it, the pre amp works just fine, and it stays in tune nicely. I play in a band with some of my friends and this thing has been played rough while I would jump around and it still has the same crisp sound. I am very proud to own this ukulele and glad to have chosen it. It is very outstanding compaired to all my friends' ukuleles.

.I wanted a uke that would hold its tone and resonate after picking the string and this uke does exactly that. The quality is there, the tone is there. I love this Ukelele.

.This is a nice sounding instrument, however, the machine heads are very loose. Lots of play between the gears. You will never keep it in tune unless you replace them.

If you decide to buy it, ask for a discount to offset the cost of a set of gears (I replaced them with Grover 9NB Sta-Tite) You will have to drill new screw holes to install them, but you will have a nice, in-tune instrument.

I have attached a pic of new machine heads; If you look closely, you can see the old screw holes.

I was very pleased with the setup from the factory. Quality is well above many other brands. I tried several of this model at different locations and only one was average. The others were all very well setup.

Tone is a little different than many ukes. Not bad, just a little different. You notice it is a little brighter as soon as you play it. Probably due to the decent nylgut strings on it from the factory.

I only wish they made this model with the pickup in the concert size also.

.I've been playing the guitar for four decades and really enjoy playing out and just playing. I've never ever picked up a ukulele but thought it would be fun. It totally different but it's been a gas to fool around with. My wife plays no instruments but thought we might be able to play music together with a uke. She can play a couple chords already. Now, all she needs to do is practice!!!

.I bought this ukulele looking to step up from my Luna Honu Soprano Uke. I've only had this for a few days but I actually find my Honu has a richer tone, despite being a soprano. The Honu, though half the price, is all mahogany, where as this is only a mahogany top and laminate back and sides (something that wasn't really made clear to me at the store where I purchased this.) Playing acoustic, this ukulele sounds almost tinny. Not sure how the electronics are on this as I haven't plugged it in yet. Can't imagine they will make the instrument sound any better than it sounds acoustic though.
The tuners on this thing are nightmare. I've been playing the uke a lot (a couple times a day, anywhere from 15 minutes to half an hour each time,) and it will fall out of tune very quickly while playing. I tuned up an hour ago, played for 5 or 10 minutes and it was far out of tune again. My Luna, which has been laying haphazardly on the couch and getting jostled around for two days was actually more in tune after that than the new Cordoba was after that 10 minute jam. If you really want an acoustic-electric tenor I recommend trying a different model or brand. I plan on returning this item later on this week.

.Just love this one. It sounds great, tunes great, looks beautiful, and it brings so much joy.

.I like the feel of this Cordoba Tenor. It is very much like the Portuguese cavaquinho which I own (and upon which these ukes are based).

I purchased this to replace an Eleuke, which I no longer enjoy playing and have been thinking of selling.

I'm happier with this one.
