Product Features

The 5-string Ibanez BTB675 Electric Bass unleashes unbelievable sound capabilities, thanks to quality woods, superior construction, and cutting-edge electronics. A solid light ash body with a walnut top offers cool looks backed up by rugged construction.

The rugged 5-piece maple and bubinga thru-neck creates stronger, more dedicated tone. Exaggerated cutaways make upper-fret access effortless. The U-shaped neck profile, 19-11/16" radius, and 1-7/8" nut assure that playing your bass stays comfortable as you run your hand up and down its 24 frets.

The 35" neck scale provides superior articulation-ideal for low tunings. Quad-coil exclusively designed Bartolini MK-2 pickups are balanced for tone and plenty of sizzle.

The Ibanez BTB675 bass' neck pickup's tone is ultra-deep, balancing well with a bright bridge pickup for an evenly proportioned overall mix. Die-cast tuners, cosmo black hardware, and a flat finish round out the iIbanez BTB675 5-string bass guitar's features to make it truly is work of the luthier's art.

This Bass is Awesome. It has great tone and very adjustable 3 band eq (though I've been leaving it pretty much flat). A good amplifier makes it sound even better. I usually play it straight to my board and powered 15" PA for practice and I get a great sound with that set up.

The neck is wide but thin so even with average size hands I can get around on the fretboard with no problem. It is just a tad neck heavy, but not really a problem when I'm playing. The B string is nice and tight with great response from the pickups. I love the ash wings on the body. All I can say is that I love playing this bass and I'm so glad it was in my price range. I could see this bass selling for twice the cost...

.I mainly practice with it, but played in a local band with it for a couple of years. I use different strings than the ones that come with it; I always used stainless steel round wounds. The sound is solid, and with the right equipment and settings it can sound like growling wood, which I like. With the neck-through, at the right volume the entire bass goes into a standing wave, giving it tremendous sustain. The build and quality are good. I don't plan on exchanging it for anything unless I get something that costs far more. Action and intonation are easy to set, particularly with an electronic tuner. The only minuses I have are it is large and fairly heavy and I wish the edges of the body were more contoured; they are almost squared off, which is not as comfortable.

.This is a good looking and well constructed instrument but felt relatively heavy at 9.5 pounds. It played well and sounded good but did not feel right in my hands so I ended up returning it after a few days. It has a somewhat chunky, oversized fee but otherwise I would say it is a good instrument for someone looking for a 35" scale, neck through bass at an affordable price.

.I have very small hands and I found the 35" scale made it difficult for me to play near the nut. But my real gripe with this bass is that it's tone is...weak, for lack of a better description. I really tried to dial it in by experimenting with all the varieties of the EQ, but I couldn't get the character that I am accustomed to hearing out of a P, a J or a stingray. I returned my BTB675 after playing the SR650, which sounds amazing and is at the same price point. The Nordstrand pups in the SR650 just sounded much better to my ears than the BH1 Bartolini humbuckers that the 675 has. The SR650 also has the smaller 34" scale length which is more accommodating to my small hands.
