I was considering sending back but just because I was looking for something a little smaller, but decided against it because it looks and sounds great and a good price. My 7th guitar now. For a parlor it is on the large end, I wanted to replace my other but this is just as big as my 000 martin, and I wouldn't consider that a parlor. It did come set up poorly (again), a problem I keep having with items from MF, but I was able to get it to stop buzzing by adjusting the truss.

.This guitar is smaller in body and also in the neck from my other dreadnoughts, so I was over-reaching for chords at first. It has a good sound, though not as loud as my others, but loud enough for small groups. However, it has a great pickup with a built-in tuner, so then I can be as loud as needed for the job. I recently played it at a church service (where people listen to every note)and got a lot of compliments. So I know it will work at other noisey places. Built in China, but a great instrument for the price!

.I am very pleased with the appearance sound and feel of my PN12E. The neck is a medium/thin C profile that fits my hand much like a Fender medium C. The real surprise is the sound. The PN12E has a laminate body but it has a vibrant, light feel and response to strumming and picking dynamics. I mostly play electric guitar. Acoustic guitars feel bulky and uncomfortable to me but not so the PN12E. It's parlor size and light weight, compared to an electric, give it a comfortable feel. The shorter scale, about 24.3, helps too. Of course it doesn't have the low end of a dread but it is balanced and rich. The only shortcomings are the fit and finish at the neck join and sound hole. It is a little sloppy but this is only cosmetic. Overall the PN12E is beautiful. The poly finish is fairly thin. In general I don't know much about electric/acoustic guitars' on board electronics but the PN12E's system works fine in home settings. The nut is cut well and the saddle and pins are good. The tuning keys do the job but I replaced them with smoother operating Hipshots that I already owned. It wasn't necessary to replace the stock keys.

I got this Ibanez as an Open Box item at a reduced price. I think this is the best value guitar I've purchased to date. If you are in the market for a small acoustic give the Ibanez PN12E a try. Custom Guitars Friends return policy take the risk out of online purchases.

.I lead worship every week at my church and I was needing a back up to my main acoustic, which happens to be another Ibanez acoustic (artwood series). I was looking for something a little smaller that would travel well, be a good beater guitar for camps and not be expensive. This fit the bill perfectly! When I first played one at a shop I was really amazed with how full it sounded and how nice it played. The electronics are okay, nothing to oooh and ahh over, but they work. My only gripe with this guitar is that the tuners aren't that great and I find myself tuning quite a bit on a Sunday morning. Might replace them eventually, but otherwise you get a lot of guitar for the money here. Most other smaller/parlor sized acoustics in this price range aren't acoustic electric or they seriously lack in quality. I got mine at a local music store barely used for a killer price, but I wouldn't have minded paying the full price on here. Took a little adjusting when I got home to get the neck where I like it, but nothing other than that. I can definitely see this one sticking around for years to come and being a solid back up and even main guitar on occasion.

.The guitar I received was in need of more serious work than I was willing to pay for to make it playable. Out of the box it was not in a condition I would expect from a major brand name. Hopefully Ibanez with see that "the warning lights are flashing down at quality control!!"

.Great little guitar. The short scale gives it a slightly sleazy action that's a lot of fun.Mine did take a little of set up but most new guitars do. Not as small as I thought a parlor would be. Overall a cool kick around ax .Buy yours soon ,they sell out .
