by far the best guitar ive ever owned, took it home and played for 3 hours solid, I couldn't put it down...

.This is one hell of a guitar, if you like the ibanez style of guitars. I have recently changed my playing style dramatically and have been looking for a cheaper guitar to really beat up on practicing. I bought a used Ibanez as 73, but returned it a week after I bought it. Then I walked into the shop and saw this puppy on the wall. After playing it for thrity minutes I was hooked. Its a great buy if you like the ibanez style neck. Rosewood fretboard, nice ebony body, no tremelo (what is the point of putting a cheap tremelo on a guitar like this anyway), and a really nice flame maple top. These pictures do not do it justice but man is it beautiful.

.So I picked one up at the geetar center today, and the funny thing was, I had a buncha stuff I traded in, so anywho I sat there in the busy, busy store, I sat there playing it for an hour before they were able to get to me, and by the time they got to me, I was in love! I love rg's, especially with the Floyd style bridges, but the set bridge, and string through body sound is good! The pickups, I have to get used to a bit more before I decide if I like them totally or not, but the neck, as always, is where it's at! Change the junk d'adario strings that are on there for........ Anything else! But throw a set of 9 gauges on it and fly baby fly!!! I especially love, LOVE the weight!!! Oh my gawd it may be heavy if your strap is a shoe string, but I have taken a dump that weighed more than this! You WILL forget it's on you! Good job Ibanez!

.The guitar has a great neck that is very comfortable to play. The pickups are quiet, no noise, and I can get the sounds I want through my amp. As an older musician, the light weight of the guitar helps with the neck and shoulder pain I get after a long gig.

.Pickups could definitely use an upgrade, but they're not THAT bad. The top I got was disappointing, looked waaaaay worse than the picture with deformities in it, but that's just visual and imo not worth removing a star. This guitar can shred, neck feels great, after an amateur set up from your truly it has decently low action without fret buzz, intonation is fine, and it stays in tune. Fret ends were great, no problems for me. Hardware all worked fine. Honestly this guitar can do it all. For recording you probably want to use your best guitar, but it could do it too. Love the fret markers on the side, makes it look way cooler and was a huge plus. If you snag this up on sale, you'll be getting an incredible value.

.There are few guitars that I would consider THE ONE!!!!I have 4 RGs and love all of them. I still can't understand all the trash talk bout the pickups. If you take a little time you will find the sweet spot between your guitar and amp. I have a one of a kind custom made for me and I still go right for my RGs. Owned my first Ibby in 1978 and I've never looked back and I think you too will never look back if you try one.

The Ibanez is pretty much a great deal. Flamed top and mahogany body and bound at that, nice, the back is multi piece but most are till you hit high end. Action, fret work and neck were all spot on, no fret buzz or unfinished fret ends. I like string though also as the sustain is great. The guitar needed to be set-up, intonation, saddle height, pick-up height. The electronics are silent and are completely usable. I play a couple different US guitars with boutique pick-ups but these are nothing to sneeze at. All usable tones in all five positions. I really like the body and neck of the electric and the "weight" is spectacular. Pick-ups and electronics are subjective, the point is, the guitar is spot on and unplugged. I suppose theres always something to critique but the guitar is completely usable and definitely works live and does so clean or overdriven quite well, in which case imho they usually don't do clean articulated individual notes, this does clean quite acceptably, works well as is. Well done!

I traded my expensive MH-1000 for this and I'm still grinning 2 months later.
Ibanez RG6003FM Electric Guitar Flat Transparent Gray
.Great neck frets are finished really nice zero buzz good pinch harmonics the flamed maple top is not attractive what so ever but the sound and feel compensate it has a yellowish stripe that goes down the middle about a half an inch where the two sides of the maple veneer join i dont know if this intentionally done but it doest look like the photograph at all
