Light and comfortable to play. It stands up to the brand name - Ibanez - and with a great price. Sounds and plays amazing. No regrets.

*Had a slight fret buzz on the seventh string - replaced the string with a heavier gauge and it went away immediately. (I recommend replacing all the strings immediately if you want studio sound).

.Good guitar with semi garbage hardware.
The input jack is terrible, loose no matter what you do. Replace before its a problem
Don't even play it just rip the strings off and put on new ones, metal flakes off and turns your fingers black.
The pickups are good for jamming and practice and sound fine but for recording the output is to low and noisy.
Go on youtube and learn how to do a set up, cause it really needs one out of the box.
The body and neck are very nice. So to make this into a much better guitar you have to drop in at least another Benjamin .
They cut corners with cheap pickups, knobs and other hardware and skipping doing a set up. So its a great guitar to customize and still save a lot of money. I have a high-end guitar and now this one plays and sounds just as good.

.Hello, I've been playing for 16 years and model my style after the likes of Satriani, Petrucci and Yngwie. I had always played 6 strings, the current of which is an Ibanez JS. While at GC I noticed a Petrucci Series Majesty 7 string on the wall and had to try it. It was amazing (obviously). I decided it was finally time to get one. I also played a Dean Vendetta, the same price as this Gio. It was absolute garbage.

Moving on, I certainly wasn't going to spend 3000 on a 7 string. I've always been a fan of Ibanez so I figured I'd give this a chance. I must say I am blown away at the quality of this guitar. The action and feel is unbelievable. Almost as good as the Petrucci. For the price you will never find a guitar of this quality. A little fret buzz on the low B initially, but a thicker string guage will fix that. I recommend the slinky cobalt heavy bottom.

.very versatile, sounds great with the stock pickups. a little muddy on the low end but that could be fixed with new pickups, very amazing 7 string starter, feels great, i own 13 guitars this is my first 7 string, i bought this to expand my playing and get more of a djenty sound and i was very happy! I already recommended this to 3 people amazing guitar at an amazing price, AND ITS LIGHT!!
Not heavy what so ever and that was a big plus for me. Ibanez has never failed with producing amazing guitars for cheap and this is definitely one of them, feels amazing!

.Excellent technical design as are all Ibanez guitars. I bought this as my first 7 string to practice in major-thirds (M3) tuning, E,Ab,C,E,Ab,C,E. You should try it. This allows for a more standard and practical finger shape pattern and scale structure across the fretboard. The reason for the seventh string is to retain the octave range similar to the six string with standard tuning. I bought Ibanez because of their long and devoted history for manufacturing seven string guitars. As an entry level seven string it is the Best of Bargains.

.been playin guitar for 40 plus years.Played in lot's of bands lot's of show's and have played all kinds of stringed instrument's 12 string,6 string,4,5,6,string basse's.But to go from a standard 6 string for me took about 2 hour's to get used.Ibanez is at the top of the list for me playability, looks sound, and quality.I have owned a rg for 16 year's and it has changed the way i look at expensive guitar's.Sure i'd love a steve vai 7 string but disibility does not allow for it.So i had to save for this, took a year of going without for me.came out of the box un playable ,neck bow,im glad i know how to do this ,and i changed string's to ernie ball 7's.once i got this straight,i started playin and didnt stop. Now i can take a el cheapo and mmake it sound great.Pickup's sound great through my marshall, has a little scratching at time's when not playin ,ok.Now i could not wait to get up to play it.Fit ,finish is good neck feel's good ,If you dont like pickup's change but me,they sound good lot's of bottom end clean.I have 17 guitar's double neck,12 string acoustic,i say go for it ,you can alway's up grade if you are on budget.me now i want 8 string,im so bad.so if you are looking to try 7 string on budget nice try on this one,and it's an open box item as well go for it you might not look back.Id buy again.there are lot's of more expensive one's but you can't go wrong with ibanez, and,i also have a gio that i got for nothing to use for a kick around axe.I have fun with it.I will only buy ibanez, jackson, esp,.But i own couple of strat's that i upgraded with duncan's.My go to guitar is ibanez.yes, yes get this once i got it set ,i know how to do it,save a ton of money.Have fun.

.So I first leaned guitar using your typical 6 string guitars. Sadly, the 6 string just wasn't doing it for me. After watching some videos of some 7 stings and 8 strings I thought they looked awesome. I also had just realized that one of my favorite bands Korn used 7 strings. I quickly started looking for 7 strings at the guitar center near my house and everything was close to $500+. So after doing a little searching, I found this gem. The price is perfect for someone that is interested in the idea of a 7 string with out having to drop a mass amount of money to realize that the 7 string isn't for you. I ordered it right away and picked it up at the guitar center when it shipped. I kid you not, I played this thing in the store for 2 hours before leaving home with it. Such an awesome guitar for the price like I said. Obviously it's not the cleanest sounding 7 string for obvious reasons. Not bad! Just not great or anything, which you can expect from a 200 guitar. But for metal and destrorted play, it's awesome. And I have no complaints. I am planning on upgrading sometime in the future, but for now. This thing is really all I need to stay happy for quite sometime.
