I'm blown away by this little guitar. I've played for 40+ years and use both finger-picking and plectrum style. The neck is that of a standard steel-string acoustic with low action and playability. The sound is good too, plugged or unplugged. So, in short, you can play finger-picking style but with the ease of nylon rather than steel strings. With a spruce top and mahogany sides and back, it's a steal for the discounted prices you typically find it for.

.I needed a good sounding nylon string guitar but didn't have much money. I'm very pleased with this instrument and am amazed at the price vs. quality. How manufacturers can build such nice guitars so cheaply these days is beyond me. It makes a person wonder why someone would pay many times the price for a guitar that is really not worth say 10X the price. This is a no brainer for the price. Buy it!

.I wanted a nylon string acoustic for playing live. This fit my price range and had some nice reviews. I found that the nut and the bridge needed to be lowered on mine for better action but that was something I am use to doing so it was no problem. The sound is very nice through my amp. I sugest a sound hole dampner to reduce the chance of feedback but if you are playing quieter rooms you may not need it. I bought one of the nice carved Lute Hole brands available here on Custom Guitars Friend. It looks great and works very well without cutting the volume or changing the tone. You can spend more on a guitar like this but I don't know if there is a huge improvement. I also love Ibanez stuff and have since I bought my first Ibanez Les Paul copy in 1977 (still own and play it often).

.After ordering, I listened to a few y-tube video reviews of this model and was not impressed with its sound- too much fret buzz.

But I had already ordered from a music store which offered a full setup for free. And that made a world of difference.

I purchased a factory "second" for less than 200 USD (it had an unnoticeable cosmetic finish flaw). Good materials- spruce top, mahogany sides and neck. Rosewood fret board. No buzz, and a rich full sound. It is a thinner body than a classical guitar and does not project as much un-amplified.

Plug it in- and it sounds marvelous.

A best value- this is not a cheap beginner guitar and lists for 500 but can be had for 300.

.This is a great guitar for the money. First the tangerine is a much darker color than in the photo
Reminds me of Gretsch orange. The back of the neck has a satin finish while the rest of the guitar is gloss The neck is thinner than other nylon guitars so it's very easy to play. It also has a trus rod unlike most low end nylon string guitars.
The issues I had were the sharp fret ends and finish flaws. For the money though you can't go wrong.

I am a pick player & love to use a nylon sting guitar out on gigs when doing latin/Italian type songs with the nylon string sound. Problem is the string volume is unbalanced while going through an amp. The 1st, 5th & 6th strings have less volume than the 2nd 3rd & 4th. With an under saddle type pick up, don't know any way of how to adjust the string volume, like my jazz guitar with individual string volume adjustments on the pick up. If I could get that corrected, it would be great.

.The case I bought was an SKB 1SKB-000 and fits. I was trying and guessing which case to buy and took a chance on ordering as this Ibanez has a different shape from others. The case is bullet proof and has the best air travel latches. Green inside and will fit other 000 size guitars too. Again, just fits top to bottom with small heal in center. This guitar does not fit in my other classical MG case.

I twice received this guitar in sub-standard condition. The first one had two scratches and one polishing mishap, all of which were under the final gloss coat (so they couldn't be fixed). I called to request a replacement, was assured that problems like this were unusual, and that they'd send me a replacement right away. When I received it, it was worse than the first. There was a very visible semi-circle indentation about two inches below the sound hole, almost as if they went to stamp the sound hole there and then repositioned the machine. Because I had a gig that weekend and needed a guitar I had to keep one of the blemished versions (I kept the first one), and Custom Guitars Friend did refund me a little money, but it was still quite disappointing. That being said, the guitar itself has a beautiful tone and plays with ease. The onboard tuner is convenient and accurate and I have no complaints about the overall performance.
