This gig bag is very well made with a heavy duty zipper and handle. The padding is suffient to protect a guitar. It does have storage pockets but you cannot store anything thicker than a set of extra guitar strings or a guitar cord. You will have to carry a seperate bag for any affect pedal. The gig bag is shaped to the guitar. Schecter also makes a guitar gig bag that is triangular in shape and that would have more interior room.
