The Schecter Stiletto Studio-5 Left-Handed Bass: OMG, with such an overall lack of support for fellow lefties, this thing took my breath away. Seriously when I bought this bass it was on back order for like a month, but I waited out the back order got it and OMG playing it was like having sex with a no freckle redhead 18 year old and her 19 half-japanese half-swedish roommate in her dorm. This bass is a requirement for any left-handed player.

.As a left handed player getting quality instruments is an absolute pain. But buying this bass made the wait worth while. It's a very solid bass if you're looking to upgrade from a 4 to a 5 or just need a replacement. My only gripe is that it's as expensive as it is, and I know it's because or the orientation. But due to the lack of descent lefty basses, I'm willing to look past that.

.I have been really impressed with this instrument. It plays great, and the electronics (pickups and pots) seem to be very high quality. I haven't played a lot of high end basses but this is a major upgrade from the beginner level products that are out there. I play Texas country and rock, and I changed the B to a D'Addario .125 from the .130 that it comes with to get a much punchier tone. This was my first 5 string and I love the options it opens up, especially with walking basslines. I've also gotten a lot of compliments about the how pretty the natural wood is. I'm an mid level player and for my purposes its been a great combination of value and quality. Highly recommend.

.My main instrument is not bass, but I wanted a great bass guitar for recording my songs. This thing is very versatile. Sounds huge - especially through a good DI and preamp. There are a ton of great tones you can get out of it and I love having the 5th string.

My previous bass was a MIM Jazz Bass and I think this blows it away. The Jazz wasn't a bad bass necessarily, but it just never sounded quite like I wanted it to.

Plus this looks great! I always get complements on it. Thanks Schecter for making something other than a solid black or maroon bass for us lefties.

.Its the best kept secret. Im right handed but I learned how to play left handed on a right hand bass. Hey I didnt know any better. I have always looked for a lefty that not only sounds good but was eye catching as well. This is it. You can spend thousands on a Carvin or other brand if u want to but believe u me, this thing can hold its weight against the elite. I play it everyday. Its the best but dont take my word for it. Go get your own u wont regret it

.This bass is amazing! Being a lefty, it's hard to find a bass that's this good looking, high quality and for an affordable price. But look no further, this bass has it all. The neck gives excellent sustain, the 3-band EQ allows you to change your tone to fit any style, and a low B string that kicks butt. I would recommend this bass to anyone, it may be a little pricy for a beginner but it will suit any serious player looking for an upgrade.
