The first thing you'll notice about PRS's new S2 Vela solidbody electric guitar is the elegant new asymmetrical mahogany body. While still carrying the same quality and high end appointments you expect from PRS like their Pattern Regular neck profile and S2 locking tuners, the Vela brings some new things to the table. The Starla humbucker is in the bridge with coil-tap function for single-coil tones, and Prs introduces their new Typ-D single-coil in the neck with a look of some of the twangiest pickups in history. Throw in the their new plate-style bridge with intonation-compensated brass saddles and the S2 Vela is both looking forward and paying homage to it's highly-respected past.
